Did a ride and drive in Indiana a couple of months ago, more like a sales pitch. First the sales lady told the group one of the reasons for the demise of the Vic and the 4.6, was, because you can't get any horsepower out of that motor. I promptly raised my hand, said that was incorrect, I had just got my "Vic" back from the dyno, 521RWHP, how can that be?
She thought about it, then told me that it "didn't exist in her world", wtf?
They had a 1/8 mile set up to compare the Vic with 3:55's to the eco-poop interceptor, old Vic ran side by side to the speed demon interceptor, how could that be?
The stability control worked good, but full throttle into a hard 90 degree turn rewarded you with about 70% reduced power, once stability control was enabled, timing was reduced to the point it felt like the car was going to stall.
The engineers told me that the fuel tables, timing setting, shift schedules etc., were not final. My question.... why would fleet people be at a ride and drive if this was not the final product? I must have 3 eyes, at least that was the look I got from that guy.
Those might make good staff cars, at least take the pursuit away from the description of the car, it's a pooch.

funny story: my uncle and my dad were driving through arizona when their car broke down or something. they were walking and came up to the ford testing grounds; my uncle decided to go through the testing grounds instead of around, my dad not being a complete dumbass went around. my uncle was then shortly after picked up by security after hopping the fence :lol: true story. edit: just talked to my dad they didnt run out of gas, they were out at our land we own in the dessert

Im sure its a nice car but I seriously doubt it will be able to compete with the Dodge now. FWD/AWD is not meant for heavy service, period. I also doubt the turbocharged ecoboost would be a popular fleet choice. With Chevy offering an import from a land far away and a transmission shifter in the center console I think Dodge will dominate the police market.

All the departments around here are going to the Tahoe.
All the departments around here are going to the Tahoe.
Yup same thing around here, especially among the depts that were early adopters of the Dodge.

...thats the word around my neck of the woods.
The PG County officers I know that have the new Tahoe PPVs are in love with them and they get decent mileage for their size, I even rented a 10' Tahoe LT with the flex-fuel 5.3 with the 6 sp and it got better mileage than my MM lol
