Hello all. I'm interested in drilled and slotted rotors from r1 concepts and noticed that many of you run them but I'm not sure which ones. Their website lists "Eline cross drilled and slotted" and "premium cross drilled and slotted" the premiums are more expensive. I'm just wondering what specific r1 concepts setups you guys are running and maybe a pad recomendation from their site.
And YES i tried the search function. It was helpful to see what many of you have on your cars but the specific product wasnt listed.
... Oh and I've heard rumors of drilled rotors cracking and others say they warp easier. How many miles you guys have on these? Any trouble yet?
:)Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks to all.

IMO... I'd only run slotted rotors.

I have the regular R1 drilled and slotted rotors and LOVE them. No issues after 10k miles and the feel and stopping power is fantastic. And they look cool.

Mine are so old (3 years now) that there wasn't any choices. I paid $199 shipped for all four with pads and never. Once. Had. An. Issue. No difference over stock that I could tell, exceptshutting her down at the track. HUGE difference!
ZERO warpage and pads still at 3/4 or more with, guessing here, 35/40,000 miles.
I was the first on here to try them as far as I know, and I talked a lot of other members here into them and everyone is happy.
14" Wilwoods are rears definately in my future, and you shouldn't go into this thinking its a serious upgrade on braking. Just a good price for qreat product for us on a budget and appealling to the eye.

I've had 'em on the car for a couple years and they work well; no issues with them.

Thanks everyone for all of your responses.:bows: I love this site!
Don't run drilled.
Have you had any issues with drilled? I have heard of someone having problems on this site but thought that problem was specific to the manufacuturer.
Maybe ill just get slotted to be on the safe side:confused:
I wasnt expecting much more if any performance out of them. Just thought they looked cool and were reasonably priced.

Same here I just need to replace my front pads bit other than that, I can't afford Wilwoods ($1,200+ or something like that) and R1 are way cheaper than stock I bought a set for both cars and love em

I use the R1's on the rears. Work and look great.
Get SS brakelines while your at it. Huge improvement.
