Well, it was time to turn some attention to the interior. please forgive me for it being a little dirty but i barely squeezed in the time to do the project lol

So i ended up buying the Pioneer AVICZ130BT. I used to do car audio (kinda my specialty) and i had fantastic luck with the avicz110bt in the 03 vic i had.

there is pretty much only one type of harness you can use with this car so there is no problem determining that but here are a few answers to questions i have been asked before

Dash kit i used is the Metra 95-5806 (focus 00-04, cougar 99-02 double din kit). from all the double din kits this one works the best so far. basically its only the sides and once you make the small clearance on top and bottom of the dash it goes in perfectly. I also cut open the rear of the radio slot to relieve a lot of the pressure on the wiring.

steering wheel interface used is the Pac-audio SWI-RC. instructions found here

http://www.pac-audio.com/SWI/SWIAppGuidePrinterFriendly.asp x?appguideid=189&swiModel=Marauder&swiYear=2003&swiMake=Mercury&swiProduct=SWI-RC&swiRadioManu=Pioneer&swiOptions=

it is extremely important to follow the directions as they are written but it is definitely easy to follow, just make sure to verify everything works prior to putting it in the car. pretty much the only technical thing you need to do is connect the white pac wire to the pin18 in our harness. then its just switched and ground wire from there. super easy...

the dual gauge pillar is from ADTR.net and the AF and boost is autometer. also replaced all autometer bulbs to green LEDs. it really makes a big difference !!!!

anyway, here are the pics, let me know if you guys have any questions

volume works, tuner preset up works, mode/source works, the only thing i couldn't get to program was to get next track but i think its because i was using it as the preset up already.

Nice. Looks good. I'm in the market for a unit like this. Now I know how it looks and how to set it up. Thanks

Where did you get the start up screen? Is it a program or website you go too?

its a program...i believe they call it microsoft paint. if you go under all programs and then accessories it should be there :D

lol seriously thought, i made it, i found a cobra logo off of google, used a white background, Arial bold italics for marauder font and cursive supercharged font

here is a copy of it for anyone that wishes to upload it to their pioneer screen

i should also point out that not all pioneer radios are capable of changing the startup screen. you need to check your user manual to see if your particular model will do it

also if you name your folder wrong or use a wrong picture format...OR if your file is too big...it wont recognize it. make sure to read your manual carefully on how to upload it

Not enough. Buttons on the steering wheel. I had to pick next or preset up too I don't use the tuner much

DO NOT GET THE APP RADIO

look at the specs...sounds good, price is great but its garbage

only one RCA preout and i think its only 2v, also works only with iphone4 so thats lame...there are other units within that price range that will get you a LOT MORE
