What's up everone,
Well a week ago i was called and told i could be fit in for a Dyno tune. Well after work i headed to PowerByTheHour. We did a base run 93octane w/60lbs injectors and at 13.4lbs Car made 468RWHP. Then we changed to the 105lbs injetors and added some CornFuel http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/default/cool2.gif. We adjusted the fuel tables by about +28% to allow the used of E-85 left the Boost at 13.4lbs. Did another pull and she made 508RWHP... we where happy but you know i wanted MORE... So a recap(timing 16*,boost 13.4lbs, fuel adjusted 28%, 80degrees w/66*hudity the car made 508RWHP/496TQ. now that the new injectors are in and she is liking the E85. We bump the timing to 19* and strated adding boost. Every lbs the car wanted more.... We ended up at 24lbs with alot more left on the table. but i didnt want it Max'ed out because this is my DailyDriver at over 60miles a day so we left her at 24lbs and 19*
Here are the Injector differences.

It was time to adjust the boost. Boost controller set at 65% makes 13.5lbs. We adjusted to 75% and she LOVE IT. Here is the Dyno sheet to show end of the night Power. We had to stop do to Coils not able to keep the plug lite. That was fixed the day after.... Enjoy

Great numbers but I thought Ethanol was corrosive if the car wasn't prepared for it. What did you have to do to make your engine accept E-85?

Yes it is corrosive but so is Gas. The only thing i have seen with turning to E85 is that it CLEANS out the fuel system. Meaning it cleans out All the contaminents that the Gas(87,89,92,97 octane leaves behind. so it causes you to clean or change the fuel filters 2 or 3 times the first month or two.
I know more then a handful of people that have been running E85 for years with no issues.
My fuel system is completely custom but it wasnt done because of the E85. I built the system to handle a lot of power.
Here is a little info on E85. just something quick i found.

Yes i am runing MS2(Mega Squirt II) and LOVE IT. My next move is the E85 sensor that will adjust the tune to the % of Ethenol in the system. This will let me bounce from 93 to E85 when ever i would like. I will be driven to Naples a lot more for work. Naples has N0 E85 :(

thats good to know that power by the hour can tune MS. I am getting ready to convert the SVO to MS in the next month or so and was worried that no locals could help tune the MS .Seems like more e85 stations are poping up I see a few of them here in Broward county .

little update...
Jake from Power by the hour was able to get a few more pony's out of the 2v today in 95* weather. 24psi car made 742rwhp. We turn it down to around 700rwhp to make a little saver on the street.

I have been adding 4 gallons of E85 to my tank at fill up for the last month. We only have 91 here, so I am hoping it will bring up the octane to at least 93-94.
Besides adding more fuel (pump/injectors/tune) is there any harware that needs to be changed out for the E85?
I'm on the fence as to either going full E85 or just stick with 91 and my Snow injection kit.
I wish I could increase the boost to at least 16 or 18 psi as my engine has been built to take it (hopefully).
What bottom end are you using?

What you listed pump, injectors, tune is all you should need. It takes about 28% more fuel to run e85. It is well worth it. Just changing to e85 I gained 40hp with out upping boost or triming.
I changed to full e85 but will be installing a tune for 93octane incase I am some where with out e85. Just to be sure.
I built my motor. Forged 8bolt crank, manly rod, diamond piston, iron block.

Good to know...do you know if the rubber hoses in the tank on the fuel pump are E85 compatible?
