During a real collapse of society, the people we see everyday would likely become like Shane. And that is the reason for the 2nd amendment.

What Shane did at the end of the show, busting open the barn, needed done. He's losing it, but it had to happen. was not expecting the little girl in the barn though.

Too late to issue a spoiler alert, but the last few minutes with the lost girl coming out of the barn as a Walker was one of the more touching scenes I've seen on a TV show in a long time.

Just the reaction of the mother, and watching even Shane turn to the side rather than taking the necessary shot.

Question on another show.

Does anyone else feel that American Horror Story is filmed way too dark? Even watching the show on different TVs in my house, it's getting annoying trying to determine who's doing what to who.

I figured Rick would shoot the little girl since he shot a little girl in like the very first episode. Plus, he doesn't like women. If he did he would be banging his wife instead of letting Shane do it.

American Horror Story gives me a boner. But then again, so does American Pickers. Americans in general, give me a boner.

I think the last scene with Sophia walking out of the barn was very draining and powerful for everyone...

Seemed to suck the life right out of all of them, including Shane.

Then with even Shane's head down, Rick steps up to take care of business.

I think that scene was to show us many things, namely the contrast btw. Rick and Shane's charachters...not only literally as on the show as individual charachters, but also charachter as in what each Rick and Shane are made of.

True, Shane is the crazy-survival-mode-unstoppable maniac.
But look at quiet, cool mannered Rick in a scene like that...veddy veddy intedesting!

Jolly Roger

Wonder whos gonna answer for knowing that Sophia was in the barn and not speaking up.
Herschal had to know....didnt he?

And is anybody else wondering how many walkers are going to be atracted there by the gunplay at the barn?

I personally like the show, anything is better than all of the trash tv " Reality shows" that keep popping up. At least there is immagination, compared to watching other people stage there lives for ratings on tv.

Funny

Actor with him is Richard Carlson. I've never seen a shot of him so young.

He had a TV show back in the 50's, I Led Three Lives, where he played a Communist, an FBI spy, and a Communist counter spy.

He also played the lead in the movie "The Creature From the Black Lagoon".

I would have had Shane join the other group, find out thet they are a bunch of dirtbags, and then save his old group from the bad guys in some manner.

Somehow I'm thinking this will play in with where they go next, which I imagine will be the prison complex. Rick was, at the beginning, the most pure and true-to-principles person, refusing to forget his humanity, but after everything now, he's killed his best friend and has turned the group into an authoritarian model, he's sort of evolved into everything he swore he wouldn't.

I tell you what, it's gonna be a looooooong sloooooow wait until the fall when the next season starts up...
