Went to the US131 Drayway in Martin, MI ( www.us131msp.com ) today (29Oct) for the last test-and-tune session of the season.
Had rained the night before, was overcast most of the morning, and chilly (50degrees F) so the start of the session was delayed due to extended track preparation. *They did an OK job (?).
The BUMMER was that the tech' scale was inop' so I wasn't able to get a race weight (with 27gallons of fuel, 100Lb tool box and full-size spare in the bed + DRIVER). http://www.gdmjoe.com/nonono.gif
Not too many participants so was able to do back-to-back-to-back, etc. laps. reaction time .34sec *worst
.13sec *best 60' time 2.3sec *consistently elapsed time (¼ mile) 15.5sec *worst
14.9sec *best
15.0sec *most of the time speed (¼ mile) 89.2MPH *worst
90.8MPH *best http://www.gdmjoe.com/biggrin.gif I be grinnin'!!!!!
Not too shabby for a stock, 1000mile, no-performance-mod's, 5800Lbs+ (guessimate), brick.

Other particulars ... RAR 3.73 driving style ... all accessories -OFF-
4x2 - 2wheel drive - high
AdvanceTrac -OFF- a.k.a. traction control
Tow/Haul -ON- MEANING: O/D -OFF-
drive around the water box
a couple of dry hop chirps to (somewhat) clean the tires before staging
left foot on brake, right foot on gas
leave on the last YELLOW
lift left foot and nail the right to the floorboard
-REPEAT-PostScript: My nemesis for the day was a 2010, 20,000mile Taurus SHO. He was in the opposite lane every lap but one. His times were in the 13.8 range, however, always treed 'm. No matter though, at half track the SHO was 2 lengths ahead, however, never pulled any farther away. Meaning: He always won by 2 lengths. Between laps he commented that he was impressed with 5.0L Coyote in the 3ton, aerodynamic-challenged F-150.
Fun times were had by all -AND- now have a base-line.
