So FBM was in Atlanta this week for work and us staying for the shootout, and he brought some repaired LCMs. Met up with Jim to get it swapped and we got a chance the have some dinner.
It was great putting a face to the name. When I think of all the money he has saved Marauder owners, it's really remarkable, and he is a hell of a nice guy to boot
Big thank FBM

mac,
If you haven't had the relay replaced yet, it's really just a matter of when, not if, it'll fail (virtually 100% probability).
If you're planning to attend SSHS, it would be a good idea to look up FBM and see if he can do the necessary mod for you on Friday night; it will be well worth the time and effort for you to make the drive. The HD relay that Jim installs to replace the crappy OEM unit is a guaranteed fix.

+1 Mac, mine was actually in pretty decent shape, only had the headlight problem a handful of times, but I knew it was just a matter of time.
And I might be outta my head, but seemed like driving home last night my headlights and instrument cluster were brighter.
But like Rex said, it will happen eventually and Jim is $800 cheaper than the dealer at least and all the dealer does is replace the LCM with another one that will eventually have the same problem.

To my knowledge there is no way to inspect or test an LCM to see if it might fail. You'll never know when it might fail until it does.
The more you use your headlights the quicker the LCM relay will fail.

Yeah, but we've all had our shot at bailing you after a "drunken and disorderly" so that's really no big deal... ;) -----> :D

He repaired mine early this year when he was in town. The LCM failed a day or so before he was scheduled to be in Atlanta. Now I need the AC head unit fix. I replaced two so far, thank go they were under warantee at the time.

the great thing about his EATC fix is that it is a permanent fix and you won't need to replace it again. :D He did mine earlier this year and it blew cold all summer long ;)

You gonna be at SSHS? Either Jim or Russ can prolly take care of the EATC, may wanna send them a PM to make sure they bring O-rings along.
