Battlefield 3?

So im looking at getting this for christmas... (maybe it will come down $10 by then) I enjoy a good 1st person shooter, but I also want more, and with this looks like you can drive a tank, and fly a plane.... etc.

Looks pretty amazing. Anyone been playing it yet?

I absolutely love it. I was a hardcore Call of Duty fan before this came out and now that I have played it I probably wont even buy the new COD. The gameplay is amazing and it has a seperate download at the start up just for the HD qualities. Its great very life-like. COD is an arcade game next to this.

Costco has the best price. They usually don't have the item out but don't think they don't carry it. I asked them if they had Uncharted 3 even though it wasn't on the shelf...they went into the back and pulled it out. I paid 54.99 and everywhere else its still 59.99

To the OP, good luck, but I wouldn't hold out hope too much that a game as successful as BF3 would drop in price within a month. They have no reason to drop it unfortunately. :/

i bought the PS3 just to play it lol, i know its kinda crazy but all things considering it was a good move.

I was a diehard battlefield 2 guy for PC so when i heard this is coming out i had to have it. So far i absolutely love the gameplay and the graphics. Even for a console they are absolutely amazing!

You've been busy I see.

10-4 on the nVidia issues, as I have had a few here as well running on Dell E series laptops.

I have a brand new E6420, and had to upgrade the video driver before I installed VNC Smart Code Manager. If not, B.S.O.D fo sho.

We are moving off of DWRCC and going to VNC corporate wide.

Billions of HP DV series out there, and I am not a fan but will work on them for monies.

Let me burn them in to make sure they'll work for good, but, seriously, you can find them in good, working condition in pawn shops, ebay, craigslist, etc. for about $100. I used to buy them in lots off ebay and these are the ones that were harder to fix until the new tools at work.

I've searched craigslist, they wanted too much. I really don't trust buying electronics off ebay unless they're new and i know they work. haven't tried the pawn shop yet. A new 360 is only $200 but i can't justify me buying a new one just to play Forza 4

I had all the forza's, I love that game. Sold my 360 last year because all of my friends play ps3, has a bluray player, and online is free. And GT5 isn't doing it for me :shake:

Personally, I have to make time really. I miss being able to play them whenever I wanted without any repercussions, but nowadays I have to consciously give up something else in order to play them. :/ It is worth it every now and then though, but I tend to prefer games that are more of the "interactive story" type, so I tend to enjoy being engrossed in something when I'm in the mood rather than just run and gun game play.

I don't have much time to play games. I do have time to make sure my kids are having safe fun though!!! :D So far this week they love BF3, Dead Island and MW3. I may try Forza4 this weekend, if I can find time.

Last chat about BF3 was 11/9/11 and it stopped! lol So how many have purchased the game now? I've got MW3 and BF3 for PS3, don't care for MW3at all :argue: to small of maps, not like MW2, which I did like a lot. MW3 you just run around and kill kill kill kill die die die then kill kill kill some more.

Battlefield 3 you can do the same thing on the smaller maps but the fun is on the lager maps like driving tanks or chopper or jets and blowing the hell out of everything! I mean 95% of everything will blow up buildings, trees, trucks, cars...!!! Fun fun fun. :beer:

If you're thinking about buying a PS3 or XBox consider the XBox. My son has both and when you chat with your buddy or others in your squadron it's VERY clear with XBox and no delay. PS3 it is just plain dreadful, you break up and the delay is like 3 seconds. That may not sound bad but if you're the gunner on the tank or chopper communicating with the drive it's bad news! You see a bad guy and your transmission is 3 seconds later you're going to die! LOL!

Call of Duty Modern Warfare is the same game they've had for years yet some people are still saying black ops was better. LOL I'm not a fan of army games and never have been. I bought Battlefield 3 two days ago and the realism is unbelievable. Sure Modern Warfare3 is outselling them but thats only because of the words Call of Duty. Give Battlefield a try and be amazed.
