You may want to try to run this to ground rather than asking for him to return yor money, as he was selling that COT for a good price, and if you're not going to try to get it squared away, one of the Eaton swap guys will prolly snap it up (their gain, your loss, just sayin'...)

John just checked his ups account and it show's the part was delivered to the address in Ontario, Canada. The tracking number was correct so there must have been a glitch in the on-line system. BTW, there's no way it could have made it to California in three days with UPS.

I haven't changed my story, not once. I passed on to ypu the information from UPS and that which John provided. UPS said a package with that tracking number was delivered to an address in California. However, John's UPS account showed it was delivered to the address in Ontario.

I've never deceived anyone and am not about to start doing so now.

Figured it was for the extra bolts at first, but four little bolts, $6.00? Meh, whatever, just wanted this other guy to know I received mine and your not out to stiff is all. Probably one digit off in the tracking or something.

The crossover was shipped Friday to Kingsville, Ontario, Canada. However, the tracking number when looked up online shows the part was delivered to an address in Kingsville, California. The part was shipped from Modular Performance and John (the owner) called UPS and they said the part was delivered to the address in Canada at 9:50am this morning. I do know that there is no way the crossover could have made it to California in three days. John is on the phone with UPS right now, more to come...

I should have listed the cost was $50 shipped to anywhere in the US as everyone knows it cost more to ship to Canada, that was a mistake on my part. However, when I asked you for more funds to cover the additional shiping charged you didn't hesitate to send the money. It was your choice, nobody twisted your arm. Additionally, per your request, JOhn documented the value at $20 to reduce the duty charges and as such he will only receive $20 from UPS if the the crossover isn't found.

As for the tracking number, the one I provided is good and it's UPS that has screwed up, not me, not John. Therefore since neither John or I are at fault there will be no $65 refund. Additionally, if there is a refund it will be in the amount of $20 due to your request (see above). If the part was sent to the wrong location as a result of an error on our part a refund would take place.

I've sold a lot of parts on many forums, ported many sets of heads and intakes, spec'd custom cams, and given free advice to the masses for which many people charge. I've never had a problem like this in the many years I've been doing business and the last thing I'm gonna do is try to scam someone out of a few bucks.

Lastly, is it safe to assume you would not have yet received the part anyway since it was shipped Friday?

I'm positive that this will be resolved soon and everyone concerned will end up happy.

I understand you're upset, and that you've had some challenges, but I don't thinking making threats is the right way to handle it.

If you used Paypal, you can dispute the charge with them, and you should be able to get your money back.

If you work directly with the vendor through pm'ing in a professional manner, you may also be able to get resolution that way.

Either way, I hope it works out for you, but you'll attract more bee's with honey than with vinegar

No one forced you to pay the extra $15. However, I beleive the extra shipping charge was fair since shipping to Canada cost far more than shipping to anywhere here in the states. You know that, I know that, everyone knows that. Also, I don't remember forcing you to buy the part.

Here are the facts:

1. The tracking number provided to the buyer was the one UPS provided at the time the crossover was shipped.

2. No excuses were provided, lame or otherwise.

3. UPS said it was delivered Monday to Kingsville, CA (canada or california?).

4. UPS was contacted and they said it was left in a car at the address provided.

5. After some "less than civil" discussions with the buyer we contacted UPS again and were told they would investigate.

6. Today the UPS driver who dropped off the package on Monday returned to that same address and found the package to be in the same location he placed it.

7. Today UPS called the phone number that was provided by the buyer to inform him of the location of the package.

8. Despite the delay, the crossing of international boundries and having to go thru customs the crossover was still delivered to the address provided in well under one week.

9. I have no ill feelings against the buyer even though he made what I would consider a threat, "I may be planning a trip to your area soon, as I have some business to take care of. I'll be sure to stop by for a visit."

Unknowns:

1. Did UPS talk to the buyer ("Bruce Wayne") or just leave a message?

2. Did the buyer find the package?

I have a COT with two temp sensors, and it is powdercoated gloss black.
It is for a Mach 1, though, not marauder.
I ended up relocating one of the temp sensors because the serp belt interfered with it.

His reputation in the modular community is second to none, almost God-like.
There is no way he would scam you, especially over something like this.
