 I happen to look at the odometer this morning and she read 127K and was like WHAT? Do a little math based on my daily drive 70m round trip daily 5 times a week for 4 weeks YIKES 1400 a month and around 4200 miles since mid-August total which leaves me with around 500 miles plus over that span during the weekend....ouch SoCal to NoCal was 300+ miles but hard to believe Ive run up so many miles in so little time.
Going to have to start taking the train again or pickup something I can leave at the train station..ugh

I do 1400 a month just for the commute drive.
Yeah, had this DPB for just under a year, 18k miles. -- also put ~10k on the truck.

You live in a state where cars don't rust. Drive the hell out of it!

Your motor is still brand new. Change the oil and enjoy it.

That kind of mileage equals one thing: Driving enjoyment.

Car don't do ya no damm good in the driveway!!!
I did get my 96 up to better condition to adsorb some of the miles, and it will get another pounding this winter no doubt, I came in just under 20K miles at my 1 year anniversary of Maraduerdom!! I got a low mile car so I could put the miles on it properly :) Can't hardly tell the extra 20K miles and only replaced rear brake pads and the pulleys tensioner and belt beyond tune up, tires and oil changes!!

I'm at 119,000. My daily commute is about 50 miles round trip. However, since I carpool with my brother, he drops me off and gets to add further miles to my Marauder since he visits several clients in the bay area. But occassionally we do switch to put miles on my old cop Crown Vic or his old box Grand Marquis. All of which are still running strong and have even more miles on them (his box grand marquis is pushing north of 240,000 miles original trans and engine and the miles on my box Crown Vic are unknown). I miss my one work from home day I used to get. But anyways, I could take the train (the ACE station near me has been pretty safe other than the graffitti) but I did that for many years so its nice to not have to do that with gas prices lower. And I used to sometimes walk the half hour to the train station and back to my apartment which I only miss because it gave me a good workout carrying all of my work stuff.

I've had mine for 8 months as of yesterday....22+K and counting since I bought her...hit the 20K mark on the way up to MV9. Have enjoyed every mile...
I expect my mileage to drop off significantly when I move to Asheville at the end of this year. I'd say close to half of the miles I put on her are from going to see my kids. I'll be living 15 miles from them after I move, so my 'major' road trips will be going to events.

Well 18k in about a year (8.2011) so much fun! I gotta say the torque is the most enjoyable part of the added cubic inches. I am looking to garage her in the fall and pick up a E36 M3 as a daily. But I am also looking at another panther. I can't go back to a econo car after a year in the boss50...lol

I was just thinking about this: I've put 26K on my car since buying almost 2 years ago (8/10/10).
In all previous cars (and I love to drive), I've averaged 10K/year: I love my MM.

Yeah
95k in 5 years on the truck.
30k on current MM in last 20 months.
My commute is 80 miles a day, and the Marauder performs that job on average of 4 days a week.

Since it was bought as a DD, my wife put over 25k a year from 2004-2011. So it had around 180,000 when she got a new Taurus. I've put 15k on it in the last 18 months or so... I've been driving it a lot since the 4.10s went in along with a tune and new exhaust.

Don't feel bad, I bought my Trilogy on Dec. 29th and I have 15K on it already( and it sat for a month with a blown rear diff), these cars are meant to be driven and I have found more stuff goes wrong when they sit.

Started DD my MM and I do 45K miles a year... put 15K miles in last couple months. Kinda scared me so we bought a new Camry 37+ MPG to use on our STL and out of state trips... I have 3 cars and between the 2 of us we put 40K miles annually on all of them usually.. This year 2 trips to Nashville, 2 trips to Florida, 1 Georgia (2nd Son graduating Basic, first now serving in HI) 1 trip to NC for his training graduation...
we travel and love doing it, mostly south though, but that will change, got a neice finishing last 2 yrs of college up north, so will have to go to a few games up MN over next couple years too.
(and yes, we know what airplanes are, we just enjoy the road)
