Two brothers track down their Dad's 65 Impala

Great story !!! Car looks almost perfect. I wonder what the final price was on the car at the end of the 5-year search?

I also have some fond memories of the back seat of a '65 Chevy Impala SS396. Her name was Julie. :D Was her brother's car. Summer of '66. Metallic Blue.

Nice story....I want to do that for my Dad. He had a blue 69 Mustang with a 289. It was my Grandma's car, she bought it brand new...I loved that car....it was so cool....had the horn around the inner part of the steering wheel (if you squeezed the steering wheel, the horn would honk) and those 4 headlights.

What a way to make your ol'man happy, that was very thoughtful of them. Paying it forward you gotta love it!

I have really liked those 65-66 Impala coupes since my high school days.

On a much smaller scale I recently had my Dads old bubbleback Rolex fixed; unfortunately his eyesight is where he cant see the hands now but he appreciated it. Moral to the story: Do something for your ol Dad sometime while he's young enough to appreciate it.

that was great, I'm probably the same age as that guy & I could only imagine the reaction I would have if my daughters were to ever locate & bring back my 65' Mustang that I bought new. Now if you are a car guy that segment has to bring a tear to your eye ! Thanks for sharing:beer:

My buddy had one of those back in high school. Spent many days in it "puff puff pass" and drinking the fermented grape.

I'm a car gal and I DO have tears in my eyes--awesome story--awesome sons he has. (I also think back to my '66 chevelle, which BTW was "DTR" color:))
