Since jflave is not allowed to post in the thread he started and DR responded and most likely will add nothing else, why not just lock it, delete it or close it. Serves no purpose to keep it open(ha!)other than to piss people off.
That is not what the forum rules states! He should be able to respond per the rules. Here is what the rule says.
Only the vendor being reviewed, and the author of the original post are allowed to respond.
I see nothing that stops a reply as long as it is the people involved!

Not only was the 4K miles not answered for, but neither was the damage to the bumpers, hood repaint, the entire front end being either replaced and under coated, or his old one being undercoated to hide damage, and why were his parts sold to someone else.
I can not tell you how many shops I have seen fold over the last two years, and yes there were some personality conflicts, so I needed to focus on my business and it has greatly improved, I answer all calls, I process all orders, I send UPS tracking #'s when the order is placed, my main goal is customer satisfaction.

The review can be helpful if we see a resolution take place but before that I'm sure there are some questions that need to be answered. I too am waiting for my stock brake brake line to bereturned so my I can get rid of my linelock. DR returned my original belt, intake and injectors two years ago when he worked on my car. As for everything else, coolant tank, shroud, pans, rotors, stock lines etc.etc.etc I'm still waiting. God forbid I ever want to return my car to stock or throw my setup on another MM. My parts had 8,000 miles on them. They no longer make the brake line from ford and I'm told the Vic ones are different. So since the lock hasn't worked right since install two years ago I guess I will have to pay someone to Fab me a line up so I can return to stock. Jflave has legitimate reason for his questions whether they are ALL answered or not is up to DR. This is where is customer service comes into play. We all heard tuners and installers do stupid things, its just how they handle it that's makes them good.

He threw reputable engine builder under the bus and he blamed his former employee. When your name is on a business you're ultimately responsible, not only for yourself, but everyone who works for you, the reputation of the business, and most importantly the quality of product you provide. It seems DR doesn't care about the golden rule of any business: customer satisfaction. Satisfy one customer and they tell 2 people, piss them off, they tell 20.

John and Dennis will work this out. I am confident of that. This site is not here to mediate or get involved with a customer and a vendor's differences.
The 2 parties must get together and come to a mutual understanding.
It is not to anyone's advantage in posting multiple threads about an issue that will be handled off the board.

Im confused... What exactly is the point of the vendor review if not to inform the public of the character or consistencies of a vendor? Am i also wrong to think that it may even work to that vendors benefit if the public can actually see how issues are settled when they do arise? Im not sure, but i believe that the site was created moreso for the communication of the Marauder owners and not really for vendor protection. Maybe im just trippn'. Im just saying, if i was a big time vendor and some dirty laundry got out into the public, i would want that same public to take note of eveything that was and is being done to resolve the issue. This only shows that you're a stand-up business man. But this is just one persons opinion, and im sure noone else feels this way.

Where is part 2 of the rant?
I believe this would be it:

emails from President of Flanagans:
email #1
Good afternoon John,
Having listened to you rave about your car and the work being done to it in Florida I can only tell you how disappointed I am at the results. Now having spent several weeks in my shop I feel the need to recap some of the issues that were still existent on the car when you presented it to me for service. Many of these items you have asked me to correct but I must tell you that most of these are due poor workmanship and a general lack of concern for your vehicle by the installer. I am appalled by what I've seen and more concerned by what its going to take to correct your car and bring it back to the condition it was in when it left New Jersey, if thats at all possible.
1) The electric water pump was leaking badly. Upon removal determined that this pumps date code, (08), did not match up with when you had it installed. In 2008 your car still had the stock water pump set up on it. For whatever reason someone changed your pump.
2) The 8 rib idler pulley has been changed with a 6 rib pulley which is inadequate.
3) The supercharger will not fit straight because the bolt holes are badly cross threaded. The installer actually used a piece of all thread in place of a proper mounting bolt to try to get the supercharger lined up.
4) The alternator was not mounted properly causing the pulley to move forward and cut the crossover tube.
5) The blow off valve was loose and the gasket was cracked. An obvious installer error.
6) The clean and bright alloy sub frame has now been painted or undercoated. Plus the mounting bolts were loose. It looks like this might have been changed with a different part.
7) Numerous oil and coolant leaks were found as well as at least a dozen cross threaded bolt holes. In some cases (motor mount and power steering pump), bolts were missing all together.
8) The valve covers are leaking and unfortunately I think its because of blow by. Further investigation is needed.
John, the person that worked on your car obviously took you for granted. He not only took your money, a sum I do not wish to know, but he took a piece of your property and for lack of a better word "hacked" at it until he got what he wanted from you. There is still much work to be done to get this car into drivable condition let alone the pristine condition it was in. As I sit here and prepare what will be another large bill for you pay for this car I can only express my concern for the outcome of this whole project.

email #2:
Morning John,
This morning I decided to check one more thing before you picked up your car today. Something that we have discussed but I did not address in my last email is the smoke issue with this car. We both agree that it is an internal engine problem and not an accessory problem. So, this morning I had the shop run a cylinder compression test on your engine. The results, while not conclusive, indicate and confirm our thoughts regarding internal damage.
The results. Left bank from the front cylinder 145/130/160/95. Right bank from the front cylinder 175/180/175/170. I think the next step would be to scope the engine and take a look inside to see what the extent of the damage is.
One last observation. While doing the compression test my mechanic informed me that the ignition cables were not new and the set was made up of different brands. I'm not sure what was on the engine prior to all this but it just seemed very odd considering the amount of money you have spent on this project.

I disagree. Zack has been shouting warnings for years about his and others experiences and he was banned for, in IMHO, telling the truth but seems everyday he is vindicated as more proof comes forward.
If I dropped my car off and it had 4K miles put on it, had old cracked rubber boots on the front end, wrong hood, bumper cover damages, wrong transmission, underspray to cover everything up, etc, I would think someone wrecked my car and piece built it to cover it up. Zack was dead on.

Sure seems that way to me. The posted response comes nowhere close to addressing all the issues raised in the vendor review. Still lots of unanswered questions as noted above including the missing parts, sold parts, extra mileage, vehicle discrepancies and damage. I am sitting here posting up on this subject while one of my dogs slowly passes over Rainbow Bridge........
I feel it important to post, because what we are talking about are things similar to what exists between a dog and his master.......
This website has a similar obligation to members of this community....
To protect members from those who may try and take advantage... By holding vendors to a high standard of execution. From shipping a part in a box, to a 35k engine build(Cannot concieve a Supercharged Cobra crate motor costs that much, when a Ford GT motor goes for $36k from Ford).
To be loyal to the membership (sure vendors are members too, but they would never be here if an audience for them did not exist first).
This website has consistently demonstrated a missplaced sense of obligation where Dennis is concerned. For all the issues I have heard about over the years, I never hear about any steps this website has taken to restrict, punish, or put mechanisms in place that encourage Dennis to take a more quality oriented approach to his business......... MM.Net may have...... I and those I know have not seen it, and it sure is not having an impact on his present business practices.... JFlave, LJ, and I am guessing some other will attest.
So while I am disgusted with the lack of evolution at DR's shop, I have come to expect it......... What I am really dissapointed in, is how this website continues to offer his business a platform to dissapoint the membership.
mercurymarauder.net, your loyalty is missplaced..... Its time to correct the previous years of sitting on your hands while one vendor is afforded all kinds of courtesy that is not warranted.
This is my one post on this subject/thread. Right now, my loyalties lie elsewhere........
As I observe this Vendor Review being played out, I don't see any member's post being deleted in the review forum. The initial review was answered at 4:14 PM on the 10th. JFlave has until 4:14 PM on the 13th by which he may further post in the review forum on this matter.

Well my friend, if you get "banned" or "booted" for speaking up and speaking out, I think that will show the character of who really "owns" this site.
From an outside perspective and someone who hasn't been around that long, but has heard and read the stories, I can not comprehend HOW a man who screws over SO many members can continue to be supported and backed up by the mods of this site.

I did post a reply to DRs response something flashed on real quick & i got a message from Mary that none of my responses would be allowed to be posted. This happened a few hours after Drs reply. I did try to sneak another one in later but is was stopped again. I also tried to start another but that was stopped also.
Mary, is this true? Did you block his response? :dunno:
According to the vendor forum rules you have the right to respond within time limitations and civility.
Also, rule # 6 may be invoked by the adminstration, but the post should appear in due time.
I recommend you PM Mary and ascertain if your replies are under review.

Post your response here for us all to see. I am sure that DR is reading this as well. Maybe he will respond in this thread ... :D

I don't recommend that, let's continue to use the appropriate forum.
Questions to the adminstration are on the table, I'm sure answers are being discussed as we write. Let the process work.

Please tell me this isn't true Mary.... is this how the Admin's want to treat their members?

As I observe this Vendor Review being played out, I don't see any member's post being deleted in the review forum. The initial review was answered at 4:14 PM on the 10th. JFlave has until 4:14 PM on the 13th by which he may further post in the review forum on this matter.
I read his post on this thread so I know he's up.
John, I'm not sure you are aware of the time limit for any further posts you may wish to make.
The following is from DR's Forum as to why LJ on 24s car is at Mo's:
"Larry will be installing a smaller pulley and a 10% OD crank and Martins techs will will retune it saving him the long drive back here, I have now changed to a new CPR fuel rail, once Larry's car is broke in and retuned the car will be awsome".
Too bad that Paul Harvey croaked. This would be a great spot for him to chime in with " And now, the rest of the story." Maybe LJ will chime in with what really happened since his car left Florida.

I will be with them and everyone else if this is fact. I am certainly glad I sent my car to Lidio after reading this.

The main thing is that this is not the first time and it won't be the last unless this forum does something about it. Most of Dennis business comes from the newbies that join this site and don't know better.
im glad i was warned from a FORMER member of the site......("i want to run mid 14's"{i would rather have MUSCLEMERC's air intake}):mad2:......people help people out, tell the truth, and give good advice and get thrown off...or you can be the opposite and be welcome forever.
POPPAJ:
Larry's words, dated 11-06-11, SS11 shootout.
"I had a great time at the event the car did ok it still needs a little tlc. I ran a 12.6 on street tires and my torque converter was locking and unlocking half way down the track. Really enjoyed meeting everybody hope to be a good contender next year. LANDY and Levi are real stand up guys they helped me out a lot at the shoot out. And thanks to ponyup I had a reaction time of .009"
Would this help answer your question.

This whole thing is all too sad compared to my litlle experince with DR. All I did was buy a couple of items from him before my Eaton swap. I paid promptly and recieved said items. So soon after that. I sent a PM or email thanking him and complementing his cooling kit for the Eaton set up.
He didn't even reply. No your welcome, no thanks for the complement. I've always thanked everyone and complemented people from who I have bought from and always have gotten a reply. But no reply from DR. That to shows his character. He's a POS!!
Hey DR. Go do us a favor and leave please.

My :twocents: . I have seen many come and go from this site, and myself have had to take periodic vacations. But, it is true that the admins tolorate a BOAT load from DR. I'm sensored and not even allowed to post in his forum and basically shunned from any replies. I've said this before, I respect the admins and the owners and after all it's there site. But this is reason # number, numero, uno, reason why I AM NOT A CONTRIBUTING MEMBER. Too many other :banned: members have left. Here's the funny thing, whenever a member truly has a question about their car and need help without being chastized or belittled, they seek out the :banned: member for a helping hand or advice without taking them to the bank or saying call me we'll talk about it or being holier than tho. And do it over an open forum without the tension.

Wasn't it NAVCHAP who left his car DR for some work while he was deployed only to return and find out the car was riddled with problems and had an additional 14k on the clock?
Remember the shananigans during the Procharger development was going on?

4,000 miles @ the IRS rate of ~.55, (depending on what year), is $2,200!

I recommend you PM Mary and ascertain if your replies are under review. I did do that was told by Mary none of my responses would post up to be seen. I'am down in De. with my sister now & don't have any info with me & i don't want to post bad info. but i'll be home some time Sunday so anything i say would be off the top of my head(not good). Let me say i tried to do this the right way,DR stopped taking my calls as soon as i quesitioned him. Some people have no idea what its like to deal with DR & it ashame because he has a lot of knowledge, he needs a boss. I then went here not something i wanted to do thinking that was my best move. After only 6 miles since the motor is shot, parts are missing, parts on someone elses car, ect. THIS MAY HELP go to DRs thread jflave upgrades Post #8 view the video he posted it looks strong & no smoke. In DRs response he said car hade alot of blow by & smoke & blew the dipstick out. Post #20 & 21 he says gain of 45HP & show a dyno of the car making 636HP-532TQ @ 18lbs of boost, THATS A STRONG ENGINE. I could go on but i don't have my notes THANKS ALL :)

So..... the only responses we as members get to see are the ones by DR blaming everyone but himself?
Mary, is that true?
It's getting late and I've got an early call, I'll pick this up again sometime tomorrow.

I will approve the brief post John wrote. Dennis is still compiling his response. John can have a rebuttal. If Dennis responds, I will approve it... I did tell John that since they had both posted, that was it. Since Dennis wasn't finished replying, I'll let it go one final round. I know John is away for a few days.
And then that's it. They then have two choices: they mediate a resolution between themselves privately or they file civil action. Once settled, in whatever path taken, the resolution will be posted here.
