headed home on 9A in Jacksonville, FL im just minding my business when i hear the exhaust of this beast coming up from behind me so i switch lanes from the "fast lane" to the "slow lane" to watch it pass by me,, i wanted to see his car. but this guy pulls up beside me and blows his horn a few times, im thinking im not about to race this :censor: car he must be crazy. i put the window down and he yells "i love your car" and gives me a :up: then hauls azz. i tried to get a pic fast as i could and got these ...this is the second time an exotic car owner told me they love the Marauder. the first time was a Lambo owner

More grist for the mill that DTRs are slower mill..........

Slower than a an F430, I think that we can accept.

I don't feed into the "DTR is slower" thing I just laugh at the jokes it's harmless. But I can accept being slower then a F430 how many others can?

Not that I doubt that he does like the MM, but......

your presence probably scared the :censor: out of him as he was doing "above the speed limit" in the fast lane. He came up on you quick and feels he got lucky you weren't the fuzz. Possibly??? :dunno:

Oh, and to compete with an F430 with a MM? In a straight line: BIG boost and drop about 1000lbs from the car somehow. Maybe. On a bend: not happenin'!

That is pretty awesome that you got some love from the other driver, I find about 90% of people have no idea what a Marauder is.

F430 does the quarter mile in 12.5 seconds. Doesn't seem like it'd take much to whoop on it.

F430 does the quarter mile in 12.5 seconds. Doesn't seem like it'd take much to whoop on it.

Now, keep in mind these are stock tire'd cars, and most ferraris aren't known for their crazy amounts of torque; so they're not gonna be blasting out of the hole... they make most of that up on the top end, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were more like 12.3@123mph, instead of the low 12s like my mustang runs - at 110-111mph - but with a high 1.5 low 1.6 60'...

So to keep up with one from a roll, the MM would need at least double the stock power... :o
