I am a thankful man and especially in this season I reflect on how much I am blessed. God has been good to me and I am very very thankful for His blessings.
I pray that all would take a little time and look (even if you have to look hard) at how you have been blessed.
Have a great Thanksgiving and happy motoring to all the Marauder clan!

After doing missionary work in many parts of the world I always find it fascinating on what people from down trodden nations are most amazed about when coming to America, and it is not the fancy cars, the big buildings, TVs in every house, nice furniture, etc etc, for everyone of them it is our supermarkets, they cannot believe there is that much food in one place. A little pastor friend of mine from Belize central America arrived and I had to stop at the grocery store on the way home from the airport. We went through the doors of the store and his eyes lit up and he just stopped and stared at all the food. I had walked off a little ways thinking he was behind me but he was simply amazed at what he saw. I walked over to him to get him moving and all he could say was "WOW". I will never forget it. Something we all take for granted but this man was truly in awe of something we do not even notice or appreciate. Anyway here a few little quotes, enjoy.
“We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude.” — Cynthia Ozick
“You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you.” — Sarah Ban Breathnach
“Can you see the holiness in those things you take for granted–a paved road or a washing machine? If you concentrate on finding what is good in every situation, you will discover that your life will suddenly be filled with gratitude, a feeling that nurtures the soul.” — Rabbi Harold Kushner
“Thou that has given so much to me,
Give one thing more–a grateful heart;
Not thankful when it pleaseth me,
As if thy blessings had spare days;
But such a heart, whose pulse may be
Thy praise.”– George Herbert
“Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful, then no matter how much we have we will not be happy — because we will always want to have something else or something more.” — Brother David Steindl-Rast
“Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has plenty; not on your past misfortunes of which all men have some.” — Charles Dickens
Be Thankful
Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire,
If you did, what would there be to look forward to? Be thankful when you don’t know something For it gives you the opportunity to learn. Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow. Be thankful for your limitations Because they give you opportunities for improvement. Be thankful for each new challenge Because it will build your strength and character. Be thankful for your mistakes They will teach you valuable lessons. Be thankful when you’re tired and weary Because it means you’ve made a difference. It is easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks. GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings. Author Unknown

Those words are so true. I am thankful every additional day the Lord gives me.

Lyrics from one of my favorite gospel songs:
"Can't you see I am exceedingly, abundantly blessed?
Take the time, look around, there are those who survive with much less
God has provided for me everyday
And if I need more, He'll just make a way
I may not have everything, still I'm abundantly blessed".
Amen.

I like this thread. God has blessed me in so many ways, family, friends and a peace inside that I thought I lost for so long.

I am Thankful to live in the greatest country in the world and I am thankful for the men and women that serve in our military the Veterns that served and their families. I am also thankful for a country in which we can believe in what we want and have the freedom to do so. Now all we need to do is get ride of the lifers in politics and those that want to turn us into a socialist country.
