So i was at the dealer this morning pickin up a few parts for my marauder and caught a new raptor on lot. Test drove and :awe: wow. That thing is a beast. He tried to get me to trade my car and finance the other $37k. I told him to kick rocks. Overpriced IMO, but a monster of a truck

It had the 6.2. Rated at like 410 hp i think. Not what i expected from a truck that size. Might be loikin in the used market in next year or two

you have a nice truck. if that guy 32 towns over is serious, do it. now. don't wait. If you have clear title in hand in your truck, you could turn around and sell the raptor, buy whatever MM you want and still have a bunch of caish left over.

I think that could be said for just about any type of limited edition, special edition vehicle, and I know it was said about the MM when it came out. But what you don't get when you build it yourself is (1) warranty, (2) higher resale value and (3) the ability to say you own a bad-ass limited edition factory built vehicle (raptor, terminator, impala ss, m3/m5, etc.) and then look to the next guy and ask "what did you bring?".

I spent some time with a Raptor this past Summer and while it was nice I could never justify the price. Same goes for the King Ranch. It's a nice truck but it's not 60K+ nice.

Now if a Raptor fell off a truck in front of my house I wouldn't take it to the junkyard but I can't justify the cost vs. the goodies it comes with. JM2C:)

Me and my grand dad built my truck it was his sons in high school . The orange ford truck is the first run when they came out has 160k on it. My truck has a brand new crate motor in it with 10k on it .

That's true BUT the Raptor is warrantied from Ford as it sits with all the off-road handling goodies from Fox Racing.

Sorry for the mix up my gramps had the truck from 79 my step dad drove it in the 80's and the top frame is a 85 he hit a deer and he had a 85 junker siting in the yard

I'm not sure I would trade my daughter's battery powered atv for that.

My friends son has a jeep from walmart that runs great lol he may sell it when hes older .

Ford made some really important changes to the 2012 version. It makes the 2011 and older less impressive. I think about the torson front differential, select shift trans, tuned suspension and exhaust. Left lane has a complete report. I am fired up about this truck again. Ford refused to build this very configuration in 2010 so I bought a Trailblazer SS. Now maybe I sell the Silverado, one MM and order the Raptor.

I've seen those beasts here in the Mayaguez City ford dealer their appearance is intimidating and have a hell of suspension never seen in past ford trucks but with :censor: increase in gas prices those beasts can't be used for Daily driving. :congrats: for the adquisition of that beast of truck. :up:
