http://209.85.62.24/static/blank.gif Hi guys! My name is Alex and I'm in Reno, NV.

I bought a '92 Geo a few weeks ago and I've been fixing it up. It is an ugly car with many dents and a trashed interior but I've been enjoying it and my last tank was 56 mpg! Today I saw an ad on craigslist for a '94 XFI so I went and bought it. I originally wanted an XFI but didn't think it was likely I'd find one for a reasonable price. Well the one I bought is dent free, rust free, good paint, 200k miles, runs very nice, and only $900. The interior is beautiful (missing drivers door handle). It has a few small issues but I will get those sorted real quick. The rear hatch even stays up! Pics below (sorry it's dark).

Thanks for the great forum. I'm learning a lot and will be a contributor real soon.

Honestly, I would LOVE to own one of those. It's better than a smart car, with more room than a smart car, for less than a smart car.

I could understand how many off you gents wouldn't be into fuel economy, lord knows many people brag about how they bought an MM because they didn't care about it, but for those of us that do...****, I'd say if the American manufacturers really wanted to sell a successful econobox car again, they should look back on their notes for the 3-cyl Metro.

Meh, the geo metro sucked as a car... what I'd buy is the Suzuki Swift GTI. Same car but with a 1.3L dohc 4 banger. 100hp even. it's power to weight ratio is still about 20lbs per hp, but it's a much better starting platform to make something that will be fun to drive and economical...

The bad part, there aren't many of them, and whoever has one knows what it is and how rare they are, so they usually fetch a pretty penny...

What I find is even more sick is they had a high of 432 people online at one time... really...

Over 200,000 of them produced I think...sounds about right.
