Some people might have thought that he was wearing a hoodie to hide his face from the embarassment of riding in such a HOTROD.

BTW: I think that HOTROD has the "power delete".

Hot as in probably stolen, those inexpensive cars have a bad reputation for being stolen for the parts. The queens of the used car lots. They have proven themselves to not last the test of time.
