Has anyone seen Fords new "TUXEDO BLACK" paint on a MM YET???? will I be the first??

My MM is at body shop and I wanted to put a pearl in paint, Looked at Nissan Pearl, Honda Pearl (picking all these manufactures paint so I could match if someone hit me or touch up....)

My decision was Tuxedo Black.... It looks so good on every Ford I have looked at, hoping like hell it looks KICK AZZ on my MM....

should have it done before end of January. (BTW, added Stock Spoiler, Classglass 2 1/2 Howl hood and Chrome letter inserts). will posts picks as it goes....

here is the first weekend of sanding and all....

Right now, doors, bumpers and all off getting special attention....

will take more pics sunday when I go see it again (hopefully)....

Almost forgot, I have the bumpers off, didn't notice any "sag" but should I be installing the piece that fixes that issue?

It will look great. If I had to get my Taurus repaint (ebony black now) I would get it repaint the Tuxedo Black.

It's a perfect color the metal flakes are very,very small not load mettalic like some colors. IMO Roger pic'd a great color..:beatnik:

Seen that color on the new Taurus and didn't care top much about it. I rather have gloss black, bunch of clear coats and wet sanded 3 times

Marty, Rogers car was Black so its apparent it is a new spoiler as to why it is on there now Makes me wonder? I could only assume for fitment reasons to insure holes are in correct positions and will be back off before re-surfacing begins??? But not my job so? Roger is that the reason ???

next is deciding if willing to attempt the lights in the spoiler... Looks so cool on Dennis (Hotrauder)... I needed to see what option and best route for wires and all.. he is just waiting for me to show up when he is there to look it over... this was one of my busy weeks, Eldests graduated Basic training and we drove to Lawton, OK Tue-Thurs. got home late thurs and had to head to STL Friday for 8 meeting... (Thats why I tried calling you again Todd....)

I knew U said were gonna be busy. Eventually were meet up. a going to visit that one person tommrow Ill let U know the out coe and get pics of his work. Seen several of his builds in person work looks beatiful. Ok not saying anymore LOL:beer::beer:

bad doesn't even start to describe it..... My spots on the top of car was as big as 4" wide of bare metal...

wow! glad i'm not that bad, I just have bad scratches on the hood from what appears to be steel wool :mad2:, crows feet on all top surfaces, and bird bomb etching on the roof. Wish I could afford a repaint like that, all my guys charge upwards of $10k to repaint mine...so needless to say it will never be repainted.

I hate to be the barrer of bad news, but crows feet is how it starts.... if your car is in the sun crows feet goes even faster.... The reason its on all top surfaces of yours is that is where it gets the mosts sun.
Hint on better $$ on paint job, ask around on whom does side work at a good reputable shop or, like me realize that a friend of a friend does this... may cut that bill in half....

So, passenger side sanded and primered. this weekend will be top and drivers side. Hood came in and had to just sit it on the car to see...

Painted the front grill, not easy to show the paint, but it does look kick azz......

Jan 15th we run it in the paint booth.... Jan 22 should be wet sanding and then its done... HOPEFULLY!!!

sorry, just read my thread, not hood pin, but a hood rod... no holes in hood if can keep from it. (even though the "Warning, danger will robinson" sticker on it needing hood pins....

anyhow, this weekend while girlfriend and I are still enjoying Florida body man has finished sanding and priming car, set hood to see how lined up, now fixing the 2 door dings, and 2 spots that was leaned on I guess....

Painting will happen weekend weekend of Jan 13th
