Enjoy... filmed yesterday.

Flying out of Abilene regional airport, Abilene Texas. Ceilings were low at around 4 thousand ft but we made the best of it even though the weather was crap. We were flying in a Christen Eagle II.

Sweet! That must be one powerful machine. What type of engine is in it, and does the prop make a difference in performance? My father in law flew a Mooney and a R44 Robinson. He loved the freedom it gave him, and taking everyone who wanted to up for sightseeing. One of the most memorable birthday parties for my oldest son was when "Pop Pop" landed the R44 in the yard and took us all for rides. Enjoy the flying and keep it up! No pun intended.

Nice Matt....Wish I had the guts to do that.....I have been up in a buddies Cesna, I was scared sh.. less but I had the time of my life.....it was the first time I had ever been up in a small aircraft....and I want to do it again!!

Matt, the video was impressive. Were you the pilot ?? I must say the maneuvers were performed with nice precision--. I really appreciate this type of flying--I have about 400 hours in a P-51 Mustang and was part of an aerobatic exibition team while flying for the Kentucky Air National Guard--one of the most fun times in my life. I flew exibitions in my my 1940 Piper J-5 Cub Cruiser for over 40 years---nothing like it. The Cruiser was the very same airplane I soloed in April 1945. With over 22,000 hours, I feel more at home in the air than I do on the ground. I guess that is why I enjoy playing around in the Marauder--get to do precision flying on the ground;). Jeremy, the photography is fantastic--keep up the good work--I especially enjoyed the shot of the American Airways Stinson--I'm co-pilot qualified in the Ford Tri-motor--fun-fun-fun. Right now, I don't have a current medical--when I get some cardiac paperwork done, I hope to have my 3rd class medical again--sure would like to take my great-grandkids for a ride. Now that looks fun and you'll never forget it either! Lol, at times I thought you were gonna throw up all over yourself. Unfortunately for me my only experience was on Army Cargo plane with no windows (I think a C-150 it's been a while ), Army Helicopter (Medi-vac), and of course the common civilian versions United, American, and Northwestern Airlines (never again).

I gotta say that the most unusual aircraft I have ever been on is the GoodYear Blimb. I hear it is very hard to catch a ride on one of those.
