Family Outing to see "ICE" at the Gaylord National

Took the whole extended family (11 of us) to see "Christmas on the Potomac" and "ICE" at the Gaylord National Hotel (National Harbor, Washington, DC).

Most of what you see inside is made of ICE. This year's theme was "Merry Madagascar". Near zero inside so we all received complimentary blue parkas before entering the ice displays. My camera finger was nearly frozen after about 40 minutes in the freezer. The coldest part was at the ice slides where the wind chill from the A/C was well below zero.

Charlotte and I took the kids to "ICE" in Nashville a couple years back and had a great time!

Quite amazing that all the sculptures are maintained indoors and how the environment stays that cold.

All the visitors had the blue parkas. ICE Staff wore red ones.
