There are several videos of these cars spitting driveshafts out on the dyno too. Pretty scary and Ford won't warranty it because it's not failing at normal driving speeds.

Where I work, we had a 3.7 Mustang with a broken driveshaft.

Carbon fiber upgrade a must! Didn't see a pole vault at 130+ -- that's good!

Wow that's scary. The factory limit on these is 113mph I guess that's one of the reasons they price it lower then the gt. If you wanna go fast you gotta pay the price and do things right. Thats why even I got a can tune and I won't ever go over 115 with a oem driveshaft

Wow that is some scary stuff right there! Why I am reluctant to try that on the Marauder w/o the ds swap!

Ouch! That is going to wind up being an extremely expensive run. I am not sure how the data recorder works on that car, but if the techs dig into it, they will find out the speed of the car when the drive shaft failed, and the coverage will be voided. All of the collateral damage will be on his dime as well!

Why would any car company limit their parts to less then what the car can do....if they make and market the car as a fast car....IE putting up numbers such as 0-60 and 60-0 and 1/4 mile time....why would they expect the buyer not to attempt these numbers them selves and void the warranty becuase of it.

Is it my imagination or did it start making noise @ 120???

Probably because most people don't try and drive at 135mph, particularly on a 2 lane road, so they put a speed limiter on it to keep it below that driveshaft critical speed. So to do this the guy had to install a new tune eliminating or raising the speed limiter. But of course then didn't bother to modify the things needed to do that speed. I'm betting he was still running on tires with the 113mph speed rating too.
This is the base entry level Mustang not a GT.
