tomorrow make eight years

Since i drove the 2004 Marauder home from Wickstrom Ford L/M with 63 miles on her.
I almost made eight years without being hit by another vehicle, my string ended today about noon.
I was almost to work taking the backroads as I had plenty of time today.
I came to a stop light where I planed to turn right as soon as I completed my stop(right on red).
The lady in the Forester yalking on her cell , she apparently did not feel like stopping this time , so she used the back side of the Marauder to bring her and kiddies to a stop.
The left tail pipe is hanging and a good smak on the Rear cover was the result.
Her car was a mess!
I'm a little stiff and will go see someone tomorrow and fill out a report.
I just wanted to thank all my fellow knuckleheads for a great commmunity and say I am very grateful for all of you'ens.

Oh man. That stinks Bradley. I am really glad you were not hurt. On the flip side. At least she hit a black MM. :) There would be a whole world of hurt coming her way if she hit a DTR!!

I'm glad you are ok and the MM was not too badly damaged.

Maybe a good time to work numbers with the body shop and get her totally repainted? Offer up some of the work done by yourself, like installing the bumper, or dissassembly of parts?? My dad has scored BIG time in the past with a house fire he had. His cheap cabinets were replaced with high end because he did the complete demo. Same with the floor, they went from vinyl to ceramic because he agreed to have the old removed, shop vac'ed clean, and ready to go for the contractors. Nothing but number games.

Don't accept the first offer sent either! Go in there and carefully review it. My past has shown me they leave a LOT out on the estimate and I have more than DOUBLED the original offer! Definately bring up loss of value for a rare car and show them what they really sell for, not the blue book... Also find your Trilogy reciepts and any others you can find for increased value.

I hope you aren't to beaten down now. She will look better than ever.

I had a chance to talk with the gal who was involved with me, we chatted while the officer made out her accident report.
She was amazed at how little damage the Marauder sustained compared to her Forester.
I have a claim# and I'll get me looked at tomorrow

The damage was estimated of Farmers at just shy of a G note, the left side reinforcement is crushed and the refinish of the bumper cover is the rest, oh and that is supposed to cover The S&S Inserts and exhaust work.
The trunk is crooked so I think it might get an on, once they pull the bumper cover off and see more.
The good news,... The car will be fixed before me :P
