Mad 3-R, my wife Gina and I would be glad to help you get around Dallas to look at houses. We moved here three + years ago and went through the exercise without any help. You need to consider some questions up front, key being do you know where your work will be. I have found the D-FW area to be mixed with great commutes and with terrible commutes. Big on our list was we wanted to move into "Transfer City" so that if the job was a bust, we could sell the new house easily. It turned out we fell into a great location by total luck.

For what we do not know, there are 22 other Marauder people here and a smaller active group, all of whom will be delighted to help. My work phone is 972-443-6554. We'll be happy to pitch in.

Absolutely!! You picked a great weekend, Autorama Dallas is on that weekend, so my Marauder will be all spiffed up and on display at the show. It runs Friday-Sunday. We can certainly get together in the wife's new 04 Monterey visit some choice neighborhoods... I'd be happy to show you around.

Send me an email with your particulars, including price range and areas of town you're interested in and whether you want new, newer, or older homes. There's tons of awesome housing available and even more to see and do.

Wow, thanks all.

I don't know where in relation to work, sence I havn't found a job yet. This may turn into a "leap of faith" thing. We are looking at a new house, fresh from a builder, and thanks to the magic of the internet, we have even picked out a floorplan and style we like. Now to find a community.

We got a great deal on travel. Hotel in Addison, Rental car, and flight round trip, non-stop for the both of us for less then $600.

I have all the particulars at home, and will e-mail you tonight.

BTW, anyone have any openings for an Inventory Database specialist? :)

Phil,
I think y'all will be a great addition to the DFW area- glad you're coming down to check it out.

Logan,
I knew you were eyeballin' that minivan pretty hard- very cool!!
I'm not a big fan of Autorama as a rule but will attend to see your ride!

Dallas is a great City, you'll love it here.
The traffic is a little nerve racking at rush hour though.
