I actually am looking forward to coming home. Two weeks away is too long for me. I miss my house, friends, cars, dogs, work, daily routine, etc etc etc.

I couldn't live on an island. People here drive like they can't read a speed limit sign. Constantly going 5 or 10 under. I need open roads!!:burnout:

I agree with you but gotta watch for the men in blue and the blue lights!

Take a drive on the H-3 nice and wide open roads heading to Kaneohe Marine Corp Base. i think you'll be pleased with the views and the open roads with no slow pokes around.

Take it easy.

You can also take a drive/route from the leeward side through the H-3 tunnel and hit the Marine Base. Even more spectacular views of the Koolaus (Mountains with sites above and below).

I have seen some really cool cop cars. Charger SRT 8 and a Charger RT, BMW motorcycles, what ever the top of the line Infinity 4door car is. That was cool as hell!!

I don't recall if we had driven on H3. Im sure we have. I've been everywhere here and it's all blending in my brain. And big pile of mushy beauty and warmness in my brain. Plus driving a Sebring isn't exactly exciting. I'll be back. Some of my wife's family is from here and her aunt owns a condo here in Wikiki across from the Hawaiin Village resort.

I had seen one blk MM. A really sweet Crown Vic with MM wheels and exhaust tips today. A ton of Vic's and GM's.

I do recall driving along the Leeward side and seeing that one section of the homeless. I actually admire what they have created there. Incredible in its own right.

I do recall driving through some tunnels. Wishing I had my MM:(

I hope you enjoyed your stay and had a wonderful time here. Weather has been wonderful....all sun.

I'm the same way when I travel to the Mainland, I get home sick after a couple of weeks.

Guess that's why there is no place like home.

You would like the H-3 tunnel, which is the longest tunnel on Oahu. And the Highway goes all the way to Kaneohe Marine Base.

We did drive through that tunnel. I remember it now. That was a nice road to drive on for sure. Awesome sites!! We used H3 a couple of times the first week.

HPD doesn't play any games when it comes to speeding out there. Seems no one out there is ever in a hurry, except fot the military personal stuck on the island!

We've been all over Oahu. We stayed at my wifes aunts condo right across the street from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Mostly avoiding the touristy areas as much as possible. But not all. And some is just unavoidable.

We stayed at the Hilton in Ohau in 97, Aloha Towers.

Went from there to the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island (referred to a "Disneyland for Adults" by our helicoptor pilot).

We registered for our room (typical Hawaii; a hotel lobby with no walls), and then had the choice to take the train or a boat to our room.

Amazing place.
