Looks like the grommet that the pump plugs into in the tank is shot. Is that a dealer only part. I haven't found it yet locally.
Thanks!

Never seen aftermarket one. Probably dealer only.

You may be the first with this issue, I've never seen a post about this. Let us know what you find out.:)

I just ordered a new OEM reservoir/pump for my car(not a MM however), I'll let you know if it comes with the grommet. It is a grommet with a screen in it also. If it comes with it, I could either send you my old one or tell you where I got mine. It should arrive here on Tuesday.

I got the grommet at autozone, it came with a new pump in the box too. $18 and the leak is gone.

Just got my OEM pump in the mail. right around $20, and the pump came with the grommet & screen.

If you want I'll send you my old one for free?
Either that or you now have the part #.

Thanks but the one from autozone has done the trick for me

Good to know. Do you have any part # for the folks who may want it later?

If your pump/reservoir is leaking take a look at the air compressor located underneath the tank. Hopefully yours will not be as corroded and nasty as mine was. If it is all correded you will probably be replacing it soon.

I drilled three holes in the lowest part of the plastic pan under the air pump so it will drain. Otherwise the pan fill with water and destroys the air pump. One of the first mods I made to car.
