I have a roof spoiler for Rosa's G and I figured since it was in the body shop getting the scuff repaired that happened in a parking lot I would asked them to paint the roof spoiler I have. They quoted me 163 bucks and no warranty on the paint because it is after market....fine I can live with that but 163 bucks? Really?
So if any one out there can help with a less expensive price that would be great.

That sounds like a deal..... Not knowing the color of the car(because that will affect the cost).
When I had my hood painted for the Marauder, it was $900, my shop uses Glasurite products exclusively, I know he had at least $400 in materials, on top of the 30+ hours they spent making that piece of fiberglass nice, and acceptable.
Less than $200 is a deal.............

If you were to do it at another shop, I would expect the price to go up. They are already fixing the one area, and likely applying some paint. As such, they will be prepping and mixing the paint. With an additional part to paint, it is just more material. Going somewhere else, they would likely charge you the set up fees plus the material etc.
Sounds like a deal ... like the others above me have already said.

Spent years in the Body Shop business and I suggest you just pay them!

I paint cars everyday, (insurance work) most people have no idea how expensive paint related work is these days, that sounds like a fair price.
