CWRIGHT's TRILOGY PROJECT

Well many have been wondering what's going on and a few cats have gotten out of the bag so I figured I'd pass along the low down.


Let me begin by explaining what I am doing with the 2 Marauders. Originally I was after a car with a Trilogy. Then after speaking with a few members about my goals and HP I wanted to make I decided to look for a Cobra Shortblock. When Marty decided to turn this car loose I decided to buy it since it had both the Trilogy and the Cobra Shortblock in it. Now here is where I am going with my mods to accomplish what goals I set out to obtain. My original MM is having it's engine taken out to be moved over to the car I just bought from Marty. Right now it has just over 64k on it and it's a stock block. The stock block has not ever had any issues whatsoever and if very strong. At 53k I put the Air to Air kit on it. That kit has been sold to another member so soon we will have another blown MM joining the ranks. The engine that was in Marty's car is an MMR Cobra Shortblock aluminator with right at 7k on it. My original car is getting the new engine and the Trilogy S/C. First though, the Trilogy is being sent off to Posi Performance to be port matched and Brian is checking out the S/C itself to see if anything needs to be replaced. After it gets back to Marty's shop it the blower itself will be getting Powdercoated black, leaving the Inlet polished, before being put back on the MMR motor. I am also adding a 4 lb crank pulley which will help me in reaching my goal. Marty has more of the small details that I won't mention right now due to complexity.

Now on the stock block being pulled from my car. I am putting it into the car I bought from Marty and it will be put back to NA. That engine has just over 64k just as mentioned before. The car itself has right at 58k on it now. The car will be re-tuned by Jeff at Marty's shop.

So....all this will be taking place and completed in the next few weeks.

Thanks man... I acutually ordered the hub with a 4lb crank pulley day before yesterday from Mecto. It arrived at Marty's shop yesterday. I had been speaking with them behind the scenes till all this came out on what we are doing. Rick was great to work with and boy did they get on those hubs fast! Thanks for working on that to get it rolling!:beer:

As of right now all is still stock in Tranny. Jeff feels like we are ok for now. Gonna try to keep around the 550 mark. My next mod will be to get the trans rebuilt and then go to 31 splines. I've got to make thru tax season here and recoup a little coin. Might be end of this year before I can upgrade. Going to take it easy on her for now. :D Once I do those upgrades we'll see about pushing up the boost. My main thing was getting the platform to build on from here.
