Only issue is people still compare the two, Mustang/Cobra is a pony car, Corvette is a sports car, the ZR-1 is on supercar level.

True but Camaro will likely counter Mustang as their SS is "only" 580hp or something like that and the Vette is always King of the Hill in the Chevy line-up.

The 2013 650hp Cobra GT500 was the answer to Chevy's new 2012 Camaro ZL1 with the 580hp S/C 6.2L LSA motor. The SS still comes with the 426hp NA 6.2L LS3 motor.

Pony/Muscle Car - Affordable, compact, highly styled car with a sporty or performance-oriented image, rear wheel drive, two-door, four passenger capacity.

Sports Car - is a small, usually two seat, two door automobile designed for high speed driving and maneuverability.

Super Car - an expensive high end car. It has been defined specifically as "a very expensive, fast or powerful car"
