Eight years on the 30th of last month I have been the proud owner of this magnificent vehicle.
The day before she got to be eight, as you may recall from a previous thread, I got spanked from behind at a red light.
As a result;
The car was dropped off at Fox Valley Hot Rods this morning, and is to recieve a complete repaint & refinish.
As all the regulars know I have been meaning to(excu$e$) repaint repair for three seasons at least!
Finally I have the excuse to get her better than new.:beatnik:
I am glad I upped from repair to complete repaint, it's the only to get a good flow .
I have know the family of this business for over fourty years, so I am excieted to see the results.

Are you going to leave it completely black or change it up at all? Good luck with the new paint and falling in love with it all over again!

As much as I would like to excercise my creative spirit.
I have a but ton of mechanical fixes and upgrades too so I stayed away from custom.

How does someone dress up a engine like this and think that it looks good? Two-tone paint and big rims are somewhat understandable and can look good when done right, this looks like crap.

I was just about to comment on that, Why on earth would you paint all the wires, tubes, hoses, even the valve covers etc that color!:puke:

Picking up the car tomorrow from Fox Valley Hot Rods .
I'll get some pics up but all I have so far,
I texted to a couple locals
I ended up adding a new grill, cause a few of the mounting stems were busted off from taking the headlamp out so many times.
The missing tabs made the grill not lay perfectly flat along the joining edge, this guy likes it perfect.
My pal and owner Matt said the only reason I got the car back so quickly is the his painter/body guys' girlfriend was out of town visiting family, so he worked double shifts on it .:)

Sheeeeeeeeet Bradley. Now you are going to have to take care and clean your MM more often. Maybe even ask JB to show you how to buff it:)
