Dripping sound

Just got back from grabbing lunch and parked my car in my shop (like 10 ft away from my desk chair) and I kept hearing a semi fast paced dripping sound, checked all under the car and nothing. The only thing I could tell was it sounded like it was inside the engine. All fluid levels are correct and it only lasted maybe 7-10 mins and now I don't hear anything at all. This is the first time this has ever happened or at least the first time I've ever heard it. The only thing I could think of is the oil dripping down inside the motor cause I don't think the coolant has any big areas where it can drip down to something.

could it be the fan? Maybe? Washer fluid? Or maybe it was a sewer underneath the car?? I dunno

Was the defroster on? Defrost runs the A/C compressor to dehumidify the cabin air.

Could it be a ticking noise - exhaust system cooling down will "tick" as the parts are contracting.

I know. The freon can still be expanding/contracting a little, or the condensation could be dripping somewhere....

Nothing was on when I was driving besides the car and my headlights.

Yeah I know what you are talking about, when the a/c or defroster is on I can plainly see the condensation dripping on the ground.

Hear it the same from the drivers said as the passenger said, it just sound like something dripping from the center of the block down. You know where I usually park my car at work and where my desk chair is, I could clearly hear it from my chair which lead my to investigate because I seriously thought something was leaking.
