 Greetings all. I've got a question that maybe some of the larger brethren could answer. I'm kind of tall and tip the scales at about 270-280. My drivers seat seams to be twisting, for lack of a better word, to the right. I noticed it while pumping gas one night. I'm at about 16k and wonder if this is something that I could have fixed under warranty or will they send me to jenny craig. I dont really think that my position while driving is the cause as I generally lean on the drivers door. I've changed the seats position but still notice this twist. Its not much but I'm thinking about down the road if it gets any worse. Thanks in advance, Reddog.

Yeah, get this on record. Don't give them a reason to deny a warranty claim. Drivers seats are probably expensive.

This car is made for full size people, it should not be doing it, something is wrong and is not what you weight . Report it and demand repair or replacement.:)

My '92 GM had a failure of the floor boards at the point where the seat mount bolts go thru the floor boards. It looked like a long-time process, starting with distortion of the floor board and then radiating cracks leading to failure--he fix was a "boiler plate" patch at all four points. The failure occured at 101,000, but had started much earlier--I am 6'2" and 250 #. Take a GOOD look at the underfloor mounts--mine only had 2" washers welded to the floor boards

The front flaps on both of my front seats kept coming off and hanging down loose. After the third time they took the seats loose and screwed the flaps down to the frame. No more problems, so far.

I also had the problem with the front flaps on both seats snapping off. The dealer added extra foam material to the front of the seats. The stuffing made the front of the seat fatter. This solved the problem by removing any slack in the front seat flap.
