My longest so far had been about 200 miles one way, real comfortable ride, don't notice any noise beyond the normal. Just bring some good tunes to play on the audio system and enjoy the ride. Watch the stares you get too, some people just can't figure out what we drive yet.
I did 1,400 miles in one week a couple of weeks ago...and it was SWEET!
Especially thanks to the Reinhardt upgrades!!!

It's great on a long drive.
It tends to turn a 3 hour trip into a <2 hour trip also which is a bonus. ;)

My longest trip so far was 300+ miles round trip, more or less around 150+ miles one way. The Marauder is very comfortable and fun to drive, there were times when I actually had to look down at my speedometer because it felt like I was going slower than my actual speed was showing. I'm doing around 70 MPH and it felt like 40 MPH or so. It can get real comfortable if you don't pay attention to the speed-O.

Took a 500 mile trip a couple of weeks ago, My right knee area got a little stiff. I think it was because cruising at 80mph, you are hardly touching the gas pedal, But the new gears and the Reinhart chip took my mind off of it.

I'm trying to enjoy my Alpine stereo, but end up listening to the car...

1700 in one week with my wife, three kids, and a golden retriever. The dog puked twice, one kid puked twice. 400 miles were in a blizzard. The car cleaned up ok, but my new car smell is gone foever. The car rode fine, much more quiet than my old LHS, about the same as my '95 Impala.

Took about a 700 to 800 mile trip with my Marauder a couple of months back and it was great, except for the stuck throttle (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=468&highlight=stuck+throttle).
The car rode really well. Stable, smooth and comfortable. I got about 25 miles per gallon on the highway, too, which was much better than I anticipated.
It's an excellent road trip platform.

I drove from Oscoda, Michigan to Miami, Florida via
Gatlenburg, Tenn. No problem, the seats are real comfortable.

Went to Vegas last weekend. Smooth ride at 75-80. I like the firmness vs my '87 T-Bird.
Also won $3400 within 30 minutes of pulling my first slot of the day. That is why I bought the Reinhart stuff. :-)

Just finished a 600 mile trip and ride was as others have said--sweet and comfortable--however I did notice that the faster I drove the more you bounce alot more in the seats--due to the tight suspension and the fact that after 70 especialy 80 and 95 MPH you really get to bouncing but the road was not all that smooth anyway--four lane divided highway,,,so...any way no problem--yeah--gotta watch that speed o cause your going alot faster that you think....so take a trip

Just got back from a 800 mile trip, the MM was the best trip car i have ever had. Hopped on the turnpike, set the cruise at 90, cranked up some 80's rock, and went back to my adolescent years, haha. Seriously, thought the seats and driving position were very good, (had no back problems at all), everybody i flew up on slowed down and pulled over into the slow lane(our Highway Patrol cars are dk brown and black) so traffic wasnt bad at all, just a very enjoyable trip. Got 21 MPG at an average speed of 90, so that wasnt bad at all in my mind, probably couldve gotten 25 if i would have been going a little slower.

HgBlues,
Damn... that sucks! Hey, what have I heard about dealers having some sort of spray they spray in used cars to give it a semi-new car smell? Anyone know if this exisits? I had a friend tell me about it who worked for Lou Fuz Used Cars, don't really trust the kid, but still the idea sounded logical... If so I'd love to get my hands on some! Gotta love that smell!
