Just a note, the wheels weigh 22lbs without the tires, Fed Ex ground is the way I ship that kind of stuff, much cheaper....usually.

If someone were already thinking about having their wheels powdercoated black I could see them paying a premium for these to save the hassle of doing it themselves.
If you're not in a rush to move them I think waiting for the right buyer would make you a profit.
Also keep us updated on if they are sold or not because reading through the thread I thought mgmsleeper already bought them.

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade but I think you should at least give a suggested price. There are many wheels that have been sold here on this website so you should have a baseline....

ok i just got back from usps and Fedex...........i used the same addresses at both places.....i went with the cheapest way posible at both places...
USPS shipped to Fl. 33310 from Mi. = 23.60
Fedex shipped to Fl. 33310 from Mi. = 33.08
I asked the Fedex lady to redo it because i told her what i got at usps so she did and come up with the same thing..........i said well you know where i`m going:cool:
So i`m thinking FIRST $780 shipped .....sound good ??? sent as a gift or add 3% paypal fee..........Remember there not mint but vary nice......there are some scratches and little nicks but with some rubbing and polishing i think that they would come out even nicer....I did take a wheel to the top flat part and it helped alot......

are the center caps flush with the rims in the pics i looks like the center godheads are sticking out just a little bit if thats the case these are the mustang wheel not the oem marauder rims

I think that's a decent offer, provided it doesn't cost hundreds to ship them.

Spectragod is right! Rule of thumb Fed-X on heavier/larger- items, lite weight small stuff usps, Medium size goods UPS. Been shipping stuff for years and this is always the general rule of thumb for best shipping prices. Correction this is if you have accts with fed-x or ups not walkin cust pay

I have 10 rims here and i checked all of them and on the edge of the center cap they stick out maybe .050- .080 ?? Is there any other differences that i can check ???? Will the Mustang rims fit the Marauder ???

Really? I have a set sitting @ the shop, threw them on the shipping scale, 29lbs, maybe your powder coating changes that figure, I weighed 2 different wheels.

I took a polished wheel with center cap and a 18 inch rim box......
The lady at usps came up with 24 and 14 oz..........my old bathroom scale is saying 22-23 without box.......

Yes those look to be Mustang. But actually it is a Marauder wheel made to fit the Mustang! They will fit the Marauder no problem, the only diff is the center cap are just dont look right. That was done to accomodate many diff Mustang center caps...

Defiantly odd, I shipped an unpolished wheel, it was 22lbs and a few ounces, then I went and weighed the 2 polished wheels, they came in @ 29lbs.
It is either the scales, a different run of wheels, I was under the impression that all were made by Alcoa. No clue as to the difference in weight.
Maybe I'll dig into this a little deeper next week.

About the weight issue.
Maybe the Mustang wheel (Marauder style) 7R3Z-1007-C weighs less than the Marauder 3W3Z-1007-BA wheel.

I shipped out 4 marauder rims with center caps from NYC to California last month. The weight with cardboard boxes, packing material with 2 rims per box came in at around 49lbs. I shipped UPS ground and with $500 insurance per box the total came to $147 to ship both boxes.

USPS quoted me about $8 cheaper per box. I explored both routes, but In my past experience I had items lost from the USPS and these were something I didnt feel like risking. Plus the post office is just a hassle when it comes to large boxes and I can bring the rims to any staples or UPS store which is open much later then the post office.
