Anyone here looking foreward to the 2012 MLB season?
Im looking foreward to see how the Marlins and yucky Cubs do this year.
Also looking foreward to seeing how Albert Pujols does with the Angels.
And hopefuly I will get to see Pujoles play at US Cellular Field this year.

Some big interesting offseason moves this year for sure.

Anyone have any good baseball forums they go to?

I go to http://www.baseball-fever.com/index.php

I'm thinking even with how crappy the Cubs are, that with Pujols and Fielder gone, plus Braun out for 50 games, the Cubbies might have a shot at the playoffs, only to perform an Epic collapse again

Fire Kenny Williams & Robin Ventura. Maybe Adam Dunn will break his own strike out record.

Fixed!!

I completely forgot about Braun missing 50 games. You'd think some of these guys would learn.

I don't think the Cubs will make the playoffs this year. Maybe a year or 2.

Man I have to go with Ozzie in Florida. Chicago baseball is dead for this year, unless you want to watch fans get drunk in center feild @ Wrigly or people fight @ US Cell. New Mayor gave away Taste of Chicago on the 4th of July (and fireworks night) to Milwaukee.

def looking forward to the upcoming season. with the way the Diamondbacks went from worst-to-first last season, there is a lot of hope for this season.

Another season of hoping the Orioles go 0-162, and that Peter Angelos and his equally despicable son get hit by a bus! Nothing fatal, just enough so they would have to relinquish ownership of the team... Never happen. :mad2:

Yeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaah? Boy the Brewers sure lost some good pieces to a good puzzle.

A few years back. I did see the Sox and Brewers play with Mark Buehrle hitting a home run. And what an amazing ballpark they play in.

I would go there again just to watch any team play. That park is amazing. And finally being able to see Bob Uecker was soooo cool too. I need to go back and get his autograph for my baseball collection.

Don't ever count out the Cubbies.

No one predicted they would be in the playoffs in 84, 89, 98, 03, 07 or 08. Maybe they haven't won the title, but at least they've made it to the playoffs 6 times in modern history.

How many titles do the Atlanta Braves have in all the times they were in the playoffs in modern times?

One in 1995. And the Braves have been considered a GREAT team for a long time!

It's not going to be any year for any Chicago team.

NL East will be interesting with the Marlins and Phillies for sure.
NL Central is up for grabs for anyone since the Brewers lost lots of talent and who knows what the Cards will do.
NL West with the D-backs and Giants should be good too.

AL East is same old same old with NY, Red Sox and Tampa.

AL Central is up for grabs. Another turd division like the NL Central.

AL West should be interesting to see if the Angels can finally get past the Rangers.

Spring Training games start in a few weeks!!

My understanding is that the Commissioner's office has ordered McCourt to sell the team and that process has started. I haven't heard any specifics, though. I know that several investment groups are lined up and making bids, such as one that includes Magic Johnson, and another that includes former Dodgers first baseman Steve Garvey.

I'd love to see Garvey be a part owner.

Yes it awesome to see your team play in another city. Wife and I went to Fenway in 2005 to see the Sox play the Sox and I took my dad to see his Yankees play my White Sox at Yankee Stadium at the end of 2008, last season of Yankee Stadium. I've been to other stadiums, but not to see the White Sox.

I want to see more stadiums really bad.

It will never happen. There's been a lot of talk of renovating the place. Especially since the new owners took over. They've already done a lot to it though.

A lot of people love to bash Wrigley, but mostly they are the ones that have never been there. A baseball stadium in the middle of a nice neighborhood is something you never see anymore. It really is unique.

AJ Burnet + Pirates = more bad news for the Cubs?
