For attention that is... ;)

My roommate (Z06 owner) and I were driving home from work playing around on the freeway (nothing too crazy, I think I may have topped a whopping 75 at one point, we mostly just pace each other). I noticed these guys coming up behind us kind of quick so I get over to let them pass. After they pass me they slow down a little bit and I get on the gas to catch up and get in front of them, kind of like a follow the leader type thing. Anyway, I pull up along side them and I see the guys look at the car, then the driver puts his hand up to his ear, meaning, "I heard what you're hiding under the hood, let's hear it again!" So I goose it enough for them to hear it. We then fall back in with traffic and shortly before my exit, they get along side me again with the passenger window down taking a video and the guy puts his hand up to his ear again, so I give it the go again all the way off the freeway down my exit. This whole time the Z06 is hanging around and they didn't even give it the time of day, and that's a $90k car new, not to mention it would destroy me in a heads up. It just goes to show you that it isn't always about having the fastest thing out there.

Love this car. :D

I'm hoping I see the video pop up on You Tube or something, I've only taken one video since the Trilogy.

Everyone wants to see a S/C Marauder. People ask me all the time "it's supercharged right"?

It's a great story but the part of playing around on the highway especially at 75 mph. Is absolutly unnacceptable to a lot of retired people here!! 75 on a 55 is almost driving to endanger you can and will be arrested! Just not by me. When I tell my retired friends I'be seen 190 on the old speedo. They start reaching for handcuffs but they just aren't there. I hate corvetts too snotty.

What? Where did I say I was driving in a 55mph zone?

I hope you never drive in California, you'd be destroyed if you think 75 is reckless driving.

Most Massachusetts highways are 55 and a lot of sections in new hampshire are but we really don't pay much attention to those. Just don't want anyone getting arrested if they dont have to!

In Cali, all highways are pretty much 65 or 70, and FWIW, not keeping with the pace of traffic is more dangerous than speeding IMO, 75 on a highway, even in 55 zones is common and it's safer to keep pace with traffic. I know in Atlanta, 70-75 is typically the pace even in 55 zones, hell I passed a state trooper at 72 and he didn't even flinch

cool story and 70-75 is just keeping up with the flow in traffic in some areas in Cali (I5). Ive clocked some buses traveling at that speed 65-70 to be honest.

Yea what others said!! In my area if you are going under 70-75 on the interstate you are the one endangering others. I just went from west of St Louis to KC on I-70 & was doing 75ish and at one point felt like I was PO'ing other drivers & causing a jamb.

Try New Mexico to Texas on I-10 80 MPH legal limit.

So everyone must be cruising at 95ish since the limit is 80.

No joke. People in Texas don't wait around on the roads.

They just changed the posted speed limit on most highways to 75, it's different going that fast legally. :D

I think he was being silly or trying to prevent a threadlock. I doubt he does 55 with his Hyabusa. Maybe in first gear on one wheel. ;)

racer x is correct!!! i was just being silly !! a stock marauder runs 15lbs per horsepower my trillogized marauder runs 8.72 lbs per horse power. My HAYABUSA @203 horsepower runs 2.3 pounds per horsepower which translates 0-150 in 9.2 seconds and 205 in the top end. I don't know what 75 mph looks like!!! I have the option of 81 mph in 1st gear! but i can't seat five like the marauder can!!
