I was wondering if anyone has upgraded to the 90mm Lightning MAF or upgraded to something like the Accufab oval throttle body for a Lightning? Anyone with advise or experiance with installing these on an Eaton equipped Marauder, please speak up!
Thanks,
Dave

I believe LML has changed the throttle body but not the MAF. I also think Marauderer was working on changing to the 90mm LMAF.

I just got a BBKO 65mm twin bore for mine waiting for April to install my
4.10's Superchip and this This is my BBK with dads 65mm Accufab for the Lightning the Lightning TB's will not work due to the attachments for cruise control/throttle are in a different location. But the 03 Cobra should work as mine is for 01 Cobra and is exactly like the 57mm on my MM.

The Lightning's TB is flipped where the linkage is on the other side. You can use Cobra Throttle bodies no problem, they're simply upside down.

Well I know there are TB out there, I do not think any one has done any dyno testing. I have tried a 90 MM LM on a supercharged Marauder and I found the stock Maf works just as well, KB uses the stock so does Jerry, so why spend the money, the other thing to consider is if you change the Maf the air meter transfer funtion will have to be changed by programing, so again IMHOP the Maf is not needed.

Dennis, I've heard a little about your Reinhart Exhaust-W/ long tubes,hi-flo cats, cermaic manifolds & X pipe design w/ 18 in. Magna Flows. But I've heard nothing about headers in this app. (3 questions ) Can I use the existing Manifolds and go with the high flo cat back app you offer , And 2 what will it cost and how much HP and Tor. can I expect to gain? And 3 Cermaic coating the Manifolds are they different than the ones on the car from factory?

The high flow cats will not fit the OEM manifolds the Manifolds I use are larger than OEM, several members have documented the HP gain

I seem to remember reading in one of the rags that Cobra and Lightning owners are switching
to the Marauder MAF since it meters air much more accurately than theirs does.

If I come across the article I read, I'll post it here.
I remember reading this within the last two months...

It's the exact same part number as the 99 Lightning MAF. Having been in both communities, I can say that that is absolutely gay if that's what they're doing... :)

ON MY STOCK INTAKE MY intake was NOT a single opening. Mine has 2 holes just like the throttle - same size too. I took my throttle off today and investigated.Throttle opening and intake are same size - therefor BBK 62 mm or the 65 mm throttle would not align unless you bore out the intake opening. Single blade is ridiculous because the intake has a large center post that is deep - even if you shaved it down so the blade would open the incoming air would be turbulent as it hit the flat center post. Now if the aftermarket intake has no center post there is some interesting info on http://www.brothersperformance.com/shop/mustang/bbk17110.html

I did the C&L 85MM MAF. You have to get retuned for it though.

Contact Jet, I believe I remember him mentioning in Indy that he put on a larger TB and he has a Trilogy car.

Who wants to bet they charge more for one, or the other, even with the same part numbers?

BBK twin 62mm throttle body, Pro-M 80mm MAF. Although the OEM is also 80mm, the design is much different and the Pro-M flows better.
