I have none of those things, but I am curious what level you're going for? 300hp v6, 412hp gt, 440hp boss, or the 550hp Shelby? Those are 2012 horsepower ratings...they get mo better in 13! By the way...I love mustangs. One day I'm gonna marry one.

I used the Ford Employee Plan I think it was D and got a hell of a deal on a F-150 Kings Ranch.

A 2013 GT, think it is rated at 420hp.

Yes indeed it does! I can't wait to see it. My wife and I are discussing a 2013 or 2014(depending on what they look like ) convertible. She says Shelby, I want a Q650 Steeda. Time will tell. Have a blast with your Mustang! :burnout:

I am not familiar with a D plan, nor heard of it.

Here's the breakdown:

A plan is ford employee discount that includes immediate family. (Best discount)

X plan is for Ford employee friends and family outside of immediate family.

Z plan is the same as A plan, but signifies Ford retiree or deceased.

Example, my Dad retired from Ford and I was an A planner.

Dad passed away, and I, as well as my sblings and Mother were Z planners. Same discount as A plan.

Once Mom passed away, her as well as Ford employee discounts for me are but a memory.

Hope this helps?

Mike.

Is there a plan for a relative who used to work for a manufacturer who no longer does?
My dad used to work for GM and Chrysler in the 60's but he didn't retire from either.

Yes, that's called the "F" Plan. ;) Means you get the same F'd prices & treatment as the rest of us non-Planners.

I get the Z plan using my brother-in-law's retirement from Ford as a basis.

My father-in-law (RIP) was the original source of additional Z plan PINS. (He also retired from Ford.) When he died, we were getting the Z plan from his widow, our mother-in-law, until she passed away.

Now, it's all on my bro/in/law's shoulders.

It was really nice walking in and saying "here's my PIN, what's my Z plan price?" Z plan pricing is listed right on the factory paperwork.

Plus, you do get other applicable discounts.

But, depending on the car, the dealer does not have to accept the plan. I learned that when I went shopping for my 2003 TBird.

Since I've purchased my last new car, the Z plan doesn't mean much to me anymore

The A plan worked for me until my Uncle died:bigcry: but after I replace my Mark III Lincoln there will be a Gt 500 Mustang in the driveway [used ]
