Woohoo-my first poll. Anyways, I'm thinking about blacking out the area around the license plate. Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Chris

Silver04 -That would apply to other than black Marauders. Sounds good.

I saw my first silver in Ennis. For the life of of me I cannot remember whose it was. I did however install black Bob White reflective lettering on the rear bumper for the member in the hotel parking lot on day 1.
I like the silver color ALOT. Especially when trimmed in black. The only thing I thought that would add some flash, would be to black out the tail lights, AND the backup lights. Add black Bob Whites, and mod the F/R badges with a gods head emblem and paint the back ground black. Similar to mine, but in black instead of red. I would not paint any of the other trim. I would also do the wheels like my spare, S-55 grey powdercoat and polished.
(Pics of all these suggestions are in my gallery.)
Good luck with your choice; ohh if I had a silver.....one could just imagine:D
BTW: OEM spoiler looks great on the silver MM.

Is it for a different look, (uniqueness) than another Silver Marauder or are you planning to script something back there ?

Just going for something different-no script. I kind of like the way the black adds some contrast to the rear. Those tinted tail lamps would tie in very nicely with a blacked out trunk.

Hey, to see what it'd actually look like, try electrical tape! Stand back and go..."coool."http://www.mercurygallery.net/mmnet/showphoto.php/photo/1655/size/big/password/fc1529ad7469b25815498e4d25f2c8 e0/sort/1/cat/500

Ut oh. I just voted and made it a 50/50 vote. (5 for, 5 against) :)
Here's my opinion....... by blacking it out you're simply going to make a nice Marauder look like another cheap Police Interceptor from the rear.

I believe it was Kevin (IK04). Yup,.. I was the only one there with Isopropyl Alcohol in the trunk... draw your own conclusions.

Personally, I'd leave it monochrome silver.
Maybe add black rear bumper "Marauder" inserts
If you go with a black rear panel, and presumably black under the tail lights, you'll loose the uniqueness of the silver MM.
It'll have the same treatment as Taxis and Police cars

I'd wanta know "What For?.....leave it as a MArauder..not a cheap impersonator ....."they" will slow down anyway ..cause most everyone not in the know---is stilll going " W T F is it " anyway---thus , the slow down first........

JMO, but it makes it look cheap. *Hey, you asked.
Night Shade the taillights ( like the S55 concept )

Black it out! Black out EVERYTHING! Badges, trunk keyhole, taillights (e.g. S55 concept), windows, window trim.

Seeing that the grille is already black on the Silver Marauders it might tie in well. You could also black out the chrome trim.
But I would take some good pictures of the car first and photoshop them before you do anything. Just a thought.

We have white security CVs at work and they have blacked out rear ends. I think that is makes the car look too much like a cop or security car. I also feel like if it makes you happy do it.

Silver/grey powdercoated wheel with chrome outer edge. Sorry, I forgot to place the center cap before the shot.

Uhhhh, oh yeah. You'd have to re-paint the whole body black too, in that case . . .

I've taken a crack at giving it gray wheels and darkening the rear lights. Me likey.
Barry-the gray wheel idea got me thinking. Wonder how the Bullitt Mustang wheels (18" of course) would look on the Marauder. I'll see if I can photochop that.

Cruz' wheels are definitely the ****z . . . Although I would like to do my wheels just like Cruz', I'm probably too lazy and will powdercoat the whole wheel to a dark, dark, dark, gray. Just dark enough so that the tires will still look blacker in comparison.
