View Full Version : Guess who wants to drive Blue?

So last weekend, Casey (My girlfriend, not my man-whore) asked me if I would ever consider letting her drive the Marauder.
I thought for a second, this was a thin line, previous owners excluded, I've only ever considered letting Bob drive my car. Do I upset the balance of what has been a great relationship, and continue to protect the drivers seat? Or do I acquiesec and conceed that this will need to happen.
I consider the amount of Captain I drink and the number of times I may need someone else to pony the Chariot home, and I agree. However she will need to learn to drive a blown Marauder. But considering that she is quite a good driver and I feel confident in her ability to protect Blue.
Lessons to begin soon.

Yeah bro. Just do it. Heather has driven mine many many times. She doesnt really care for the car, but she thinks the attention the car brings is pretty cool. And it gets her from point A to point B.

Be careful, she may like it so much you will have to buy another one for her.
Then you could buy a black and step up.

Julie will drive all my cars (Large my her standrad), but would perfer to drive her VW
bug tubro. I have to admit I sorta like it too, it handles well, came with all the toys.
a 03 VW bug factory hot rod.
Damn thing burns more gas than my Cadillac V and uses premium. as well.
For some reason she love that car. Says it fits her well. You would think it is a
coat or something.
Fun to drive corners really well.

I will let my wife drive because she owns good cars too. As far as friends, as long as I am in the car, maybe. Anybody but the wife drive it alone NO WAY!!! I have had (friends?) drive ma good cars before and wreck them and guess who had to pay to get them fixed. So no more borrowing for me unless they give me the keys and title to an equally nice car.

As long as she's a good driver and under stands the art of driving a mm. To me I don't think any woman whould understand this unless it's a member :)

She gets it because of how obsessed I am, so I feel good with her driving, in fact it kind of turns me on

The second time Amy drove mine was in a convoy. Of Marauders. Heading to a drinking and gambling establishment. At night. I think my fingernails are still stuck in the 'Oh crap' handle on the passenger side.

Why not? It's a Blue S/C Marauder. It's not like she is taking out a fast car like a Black S/C Marauder:D

Let her or it will be an "issue" in the future. She will lose interest soon enough. Reverse psychology.

I think the only reason I hesitated was it was a blue. I mean a black can always be replaced, they pop up for sale here every day. I guess a lot of people just don't like the black. Blue is much harder to replace.
But at least we are talking about SC Marauders

I'm worried about my bumpers. Wifey uses them as "parking sensors" on her little Liberty.

Wife owned the Black for the first three years, then I got it. She loved the attention and power.
Daughter drove the Black once. replaced front fender and windwhield.
Blue, wife refuses to drive it. Too fast and loud. Not for me.
Red, just me drives it.
Son in Law drove Black for a week, until I found beer cans in the back.
I will let members drive them if they need one. I get to pick which one.
Not gas milage but SMILES per mile.

If your lady shows interest in driving it, SC'd or not, I say: do it! I actually wish my wife wanted to drive the MM more.
My MM is a second car for my family. Wife drives it if her Acadia is down for service (which has happened more than I'd like ). She doesn't like the MM too much, she tolerates it. She claims she feels like she's scaring people with the MM. I say: "That's the point!!" Also, it's not as cushy as her Acadia.
She's a good driver, it's others I worry about.

Wife, Yes. Fiance. Yes. Girlfriend, No. I let my Girlfriend of four months drive the MM once, due to twisting my right ankle while we were hiking. Mind you, this is a stock MM, No S/C, well since that day it was like she had a fixation on the car, bordering on a compulsion. Hey, she drives a Black BMW 535i.
It was, Can I drive?, Let me drive, Hon, or I'll drive with a smile. It turned into a bone of contention every time we went anywhere together. Then it went to the trust angle, You don't trust me. Why won't you let me drive? I'm a good driver..and yes she is a good driver. Things go from bad to worse over the next month......
Well, as Brad sings...."I'm gonna miss her"
Two weeks later, I go to my hang out, my local watering hole for a beer. As I pull in, there sits a Black 2007 CVPI, I think cool. I go in, and yeah you guessed it..she's there. She comes up to me and with a sheepish grin says, Did you see my new car?
We had a great time that night. We get up and decided to go out for breakfast. We're out the door heading for the cars parked next to each other. I look at both of them and say, You Drive.....:D

I let the wife drive the BOSS she is a great driver and is anal as I when it comes to parking etc.. Plus she dd drives a Mustang GT so the big Merc is easier to drive in comparison.
