Somebody towing a fifth wheel trailer whacked my car in the parking lot at work and trashed the rear bumper cover. Looking for OEM or excellent used one if possible.

off topic I know, but just out of curiosity, which bumper is harder to obtain/more expensive, front or back?

Neither one is in production any longer, both hard to come by and not cheap.

Fronts are available aftermarket. Rears are not.

Problem with them is those bumpers are recons. Basically a damaged bmpr bad enough to be replaced that they repair not always of best quality/fitment when done

Aftermarket fronts are available on ebay and even JC Whitney has an aftermarket front available.

Rear bumper covers are another story.:(

Somebody needs to to initiate manufacturing reproductions at some point. I'm sure it will happen someday.

I wonder what would be more acceptable. A CV/GM bumper on a MM or a aftermarket MM rear bumper with Marauder on it but a different font style or size or something to get past Ford's trademark? Thoughts?

See thread..."another one bites the dust"...looks as though the rear bumper is intact...http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=77688

The bottom line is front can be remade because it's blank, the rear one says "Marauder" so Ford says NO to aftermarket companies.
