I am sick over this.
I was so close to bidding but didn't.
The car went for $14,000 and is being sent to a buyer in German. It had just been for sale for $23,000.
I would have flown down with a bag of tools and driven this puppy back.
Did I mention that I am sick over this?????

The dohc v10 wouldn't be just about hp... it would be just the greatest incarnation of what is possible with mod motors...
Actually, that would have been the quad turbo v12 mod motor in the GT90 prototype, but that's besides the point.
The car is awesome, but a car like that I wouldn't want to drive... And I'd probably need a bigger garage, marauder barely fits now... :o

I was very close late last year to pulling the trigger on this one on ebay. Not sure where I would have put a third vehicle though (in storage since not street legal with CHP markings or strip the CHP stuff off except for special events like the Ripon police car show).

I was the beneficiary of my grandparent's mint, and I mean mint, garaged kept, 1968 Eldorado with 42K miles. I got it my sophomore year in college and had a great time road tripping back from St. Paul to school in Philly. On the trip back, I stopped in my hometown of Stevens Point, WI to visit and get a carwash. When I pulled in, about 15 people surrounded the car and asked me about it. This was in 1985, so the car was not even a classic yet. The owner of the carwash had two guys do a hand wash on it, and did not charge me for it... probably because he got some extra business from the crowd.
I could go on and on about all of the other experiences I had with a Cadillac boat, but it just goes to show you, when you have a car like the one Marty is mourning, or the one I was fortunate enough to have, you will create memories that will last a lifetime. I remember the carwash in Point like it was yesterday.
Marty, I feel for you on this one, but mark my words, there is another, prime Caddy boat out there waiting for you.

I always wondered how cars end up at a pawn shop!
