I just wipe them down inside and out evertime I get the car washed....after 8 years they still look nice and shiney.

Our wheels are polished aluminum but I don't think the chrome cleaner will hurt them. Just make sure the wheels are cool to the touch when you clean them off, if they aren't I would just use soap and water. Enjoy!:banana2:

Your wheels have a clear coat on them. Use the same thing you would use to clean the car!

I use ICE car wash & quick detailer! :coolman:

A good aluminum wheel cleaner or car shampoo (car wash) with a good soft brush.

I use Mothers Cleaner Wax.

Abrasives such as Mother's (except Mother's wax) will compromise the clear coat finish, Aluminum polish will NOT work on clear coat. Just wash, clay bar and wax. :)

This is 100% correct. Don't touch them with anything you wouldn't do to your paint. Having said this, I used simple green and a soap sponge, then used this mothers polishing ball with compound to take out all the scratches and finally mothers wax. Anyone who saw my 100k mile plus wheels knows how clean they were.

Don't use aluminum cleaner to clean rims that have a CLEARCOAT FINISH!

Are you referring to the sponge ball type you attach to a drill? I was thinking about getting one of those and using a fine polish to get rid of the tiny scratches. Just haven't heard any reviews on the "sponge ball", didn't want to waste money. Reviews anyone?

I ended up with one somehow, it's blue and goes in a drill. I used it with a mild rubbing compound with good results.

Crofgate is the best for paint and wheels.

Wash and wax. I use s100 bike protectant. You can get it any Harley dealership or online. It actually inverts corrosion temporarily if you have minor scratches/nicks showing aluminum.

My wheels have been though some serious **** (Salt, Hail, Ice Torture) and look the same as when when I bought em in 2008. Wax em or take em off in the winter.

Never tried the Aquinil on wheels yet. I use Croftgate Tire shine on rims also. Their stuff is impressive.
