Nope .... this is not a street racing thread. Not even about racing.
I just wiped down the Marauder and the new Taurus SHO. Marauder wins hands down.
Taurus SHO = 30 minutes
Marauder - 12 minutes
I can wipe down the Marauder twice as fast as the SHO. Of course, I have lots of experience with the Marauder. With time, I think I can get the SHO down to about 20 minutes but probably not much less than that.
The Taurus SHO is just littered with all kinds of nooks and crannies and ridges and hard to reach spots. Just a much more difficult car to wipe down and detail. That's my assessment. ;)

Congrats on the new SHO Charlie!
Is Bluerauder retired uner a car cover?
BTW: Those SHO's can move with all that ECOBOOST torque.

Nice SHO. Both cars are nice. Lately I've been missing my MM. Seriously thinking about picking up a used one and letting my SHO go. Who knows. . .anyway here`s a pic of my SHO an '11 with the performance package.

I think I like your wheels better than mine. Are they 19's? Nice stance too. I like that color too .... just felt like joining the "dark side" this time.
The SHO looks so much larger that the Marauder. Is the interior of the SHO larger?
Doesn't look it.

Length and width of the SHO is quite similar to the Marauder. Probably within an inch or two. What you really see is a difference in height that makes it look larger than the Marauder. The hood sits higher and so does the roofline and the trunk.
Inside room is quite similar from what I can tell. Maybe even just a bit more legroom in the rear of the Taurus. Some say that the center console restricts driver legroom in the SHO. I don't have that problem.
The Taurus "feels" larger to me. Part of that is just getting used to it. Personally, I think the Marauder moves and handles much smaller than it is. Visibility in the Marauder is MUCH better than the SHO.

The Tarus has a Taller BELT line and Higher HIPS . Every one that I have talked to about their Tarus loves them . My Boss has the Eco tech Lincoln version [ His ole lady pushed the envelope , Boss man prefered the SHO ]:burnout:

I believe Livernois up in michigan has their SHO shop car in the 12's with just a tune. Very impressive cars... would be much more if they would drop 5-600 pounds they are HEAVY.

Thanks, they are 20", standard for the performance package.
Yes, the Sterling gray is pretty and hides dust much better than a dark car.
But dark cars are stellar when clean. . .

please tell me it aint so! lol i think the visibility in the marauder is horrid. i always have to duck and turn mostly because the damn rear view mirror.
someday a red or blue ecoboost SHO will be in my driveway and i can complete my set of SHO's.

I have no problem with visibility in the Marauder all around. The Taurus has huge blind spots everywhere. Look left and you are staring straight at the "B" Pillar. View out the rear with the high azz end is nearly impossible to guage backing without the rear camera and sensing system. "C" Pillars are large enough to high a tractor trailer. I love the car; but all round visibility is not one of its strong suits. Its fine for the people who only look out the windshield and do all other manuevers by "feel" and "sound".
I test drove a Red Candy SHO and liked the color; but I have not had good luck with red cars ..... so it was off the table.
The ONLY Dark Blue Pearl Tauruses that I saw were the SEL and the Limited editions. Couldn't find a Blue SHO .... so I went with Tuxedo Black.

Nice Charlie. Now all you need is a Lincoln to add to the stable.
