smells like i'm running rich

running ngktr55 with proper gap, granitelli connectors, stock coils (all verified working), and DR tune. on cold start up i notice a very rich smell in the exhaust. I've pulled the neg battery cable to reset the computer but haven't noticed any change. Should I flash back to stock, then try the battery cable pull again to reset the computer. gas mileage is in the toilet and i'm not getting into the pedal any more than usual. any suggestions would be great. possibly thinking about going back to stock plugs and re-checking.

Have you checked any codes, i believe when there is an o2 sensor issue it
defaults rich so as not to do damage with a lean situation.

not getting CEL. i guess the sct will check for codes, correct? haven't really used it for that purpose yet.

Any excessive soot on the exhaust tips? It will run a little richer on a cold start up.

The car will run rich on cold starts, specially when tuned. Nothing to worry about.
