The GTR is also street legal and cost less compared to the Cobra Jet which is track only car and cost around $100k.

And a stock GTR at 96k + mods to make it go 8's is cheaper than a Cobra Jet? The only thing I would put against the CJ is the fact it's not street legal. At that level of performance nothing is cheap.

That was my point in posting the cobra jet video.

I know those GTR's are right in 6 figure price range.

I'm not knocking the GTR in any way at all. That's still an impressive run.

I just love those cobra jets! :drool:

My boss drives a GTR. Says it runs 13's stock. It's impressive looking for sure but whenever I drive my Marauder to work (which is rarely now) he runs over to look with a big grin on his face. :cool:

GTR's start at around 80k, but the money taken to bring them into that low of ET's is probably close to another 80k

WOW ONCE AGAIN History repeats it self again . Tasca Ford Produced the first Cobra Jet Stang in 1968 and a half and the car ran HI 11's LOW 12'S [ I think ] this new car is 3 seconds FASTER 44 YEARS LATER:banana2:

A friend of mine has a GTR and dropped 40 k in up grades and runs 10.40@145mph on stock tires, car cost 108 canadian,so for 150k you go mid tens.

Anyone else notice the DVI (Direct Vent Injection) mod on the Cobra Jet? Cabin starts to fill quickly at the end there. :D
