What are you wanting to accomplish with the setup. If its just to listen to the traffic and police warnings your prob good to go. If your looking for range have a cb shop peek and tune the radio and I would go with a magnetic antenna like the Wilson 1000. It will reach out further.

I have that exact one. You won't be able to tune because it's to small. If your looking for talking range I'd recommend a different radio but, it is good for listening to truckers. I would definately recommend the Wilson 1000 or even the "Little Will" by Wilson. That radio has weather bands and the Wilson antennas are tuned to pick up the bands. The K40's are not. I know you haven't mentioned the K40 but I thought I would atleast let you know.

He can hook you up with a great packge. I have Cobra 29s with Palomar 250 linear amps in both my Marauder and my F-350. Averages 16 miles of transmision/receiving.

When are you coming down?

I have a CB also.....well three of them.....I bought a small one for the Marauder.....and a Cobra classic I just got last year. I also have an old Cobra 29GTL that I need to have refurbed for my Burb. I have two of the lil will antennae's, and they pick up pretty good so +1 on those.
