With direction from Todd I hooked up with the SVTOA - Atlanta Chapter about the up coming FFW. It will be Fri, Sat, & Sun. I am pulling my trailer up for a central location point for the weekend. I will be a great time to get together. Look at your calendars and let us know if you are going to make it. We can set up for a cookout and other comradery.

I'm woefully misinformed, where's it going to be? I live in Buford. I figure it's either at Atlanta Dragway or Speedway. Definitely different parts of town!
You're the closest up in Buford...just a hop, skip and a skid-mark from you.
I take that back...glassman is the closest of our group, but you're not too far.

Should I come?
Only if you want to have fun with some other MM members with some great racing both on the track and the bench and have some great BBQ and comradrey.

I contacted the Gent that runs the FFWs and he is very receptive to us having a Corral/Round up at the meet. I will be going to the Test and Tune this Saturday with the P.T.Caseys and checking out the track and pity area to see where we can set up. I am hoping to be able to rope off a specific area and have a general hang out site with the BBQ and lounge area. All Marauder owners are invited!!

Doesn't look like I'll make the test & tune, but I plan to be there for the FFW event. Keep us updated!
Barry,
I used my full "kitchen pass" last Saturday...so this one for the T&T is out of the question. Thanks for doing the legwork on the FFW, though. Looking forward to what you find out.

Jonathon, on the March 14th it will only cost you $10.00 to get in and to run the car. It is called a Test and Tune. There in no actual competition. You just run against the clock. Your car will have to pass Technical which will be no problem for you. Any questions feel free to call me 404-805-8302. You can run as many times as you want. I hope you bring your Dad with you. If you come bring some lawn chairs if you have them.

That's Ok we always bring extra chairs but you never know who and how many will show so I always say bvring youir own chairs. Do you need directions on how to get there? I will be there at noon but I could meet you somewhere close to I-75 if you need me to so you can get there. We will have an ice chest so bring your own sodas or drinks and you can chill them in our cooler or pay the track prices.

About 20 - 25 miles from the Cracker Barrel. This is the Tracks link for directions

I think it would be safer to meet you somewhere. I don't want you to have to come too far out of your way, so just give me a place close to you that is easy from the Interstate system and I'll be there.
Anyone else coming?

Also, I talked to Mark Ray of Zeus Automotive, he said he would like to meet us all for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel.

OK.....I'm a little behind on my post here......
I just spoke to Mark Ray/Zeus Automotive.....he is coming down to FFW on Friday evening. He would like to get together for breakfast on Saturday morning at the Cracker Barrel. Probably around 10ish. Whenever the crowd kinda dies down.
Then, we can get together again Sunday morning for a repeat!!!

Hmmm. when I slow down here at work, I'll have to figure all this out. I'm coming to FFW though, barring national disaster.
How 'bout we start to get a headcount for who's planning on coming in for this? How 'bout you Charlotte/N.C. folks? Are you coming or are you looking at Bristol as being your FFW?

I am planning to be there at the Cracker Barrel Saturday at 10:00 a.m. for FFW. I am looking forward to the meet and seeing everyone. I would like to see what my MM with its modest mods can do in the 1/4 mile. (TAF - I couldn't join you at the Breakfast because my sons were home from Spring Break.)

Brenda and I will be at Commerce. Already spent to much on Indy so, I won't be at Bristol.
Well, as far as FFW Atlanta goes...that Saturday falls on the 3rd Saturday along with our regular breakfast...so, change of venue (Cracker Barrels) for next months meet is my "motion"...any seconds?

Anyone know the most inexpensive way to get to Pottsville, PA.??

I'm can be at whatever location is selected. Somewhere near Commerce would be fine with me, how about others. Barry will already be set up on Friday at the dragstrip. Don't know what all is available at Commerce exit.

You want to get ANYWHERE in PA...call the BigDog!
I've been through there...you can fly Delta into Harrisburg...or, if you're driving...I-85 North to I-77 at Charlotte, to I-81 up through Virginia to I-78 in PA.
It's actually a very pretty drive through the mountains!!!

The Commerce Exit (#149) is a MAJOR exit with the Outlet Malls, every kind of food you could want ('cept Krispy Kremes....man I could go for a glazed right now)

The major restriction is that I am on a limited budjet. I figure Airtran to Philly at $80 and a bus ticket to Pottsville for another $40 and I can pick up the new S/C for the MM. The only trouble is that it is in the form of a KTM 950s motorcycle. Oh well, at least I am having fun on the journey.
I use to be a type A+++ personality and over the years have found that if you don't enjoy the journey and you don't achieve your goal your just one miserable SOB!

Before there ever were "black sedans", there was Jerry Glanville. Jerry was the coach of the Atlanta Falcons (and another team too, but I forgot which one). Anyway, Jerry is an avid drag racer and all of his cars are jet black. Stop by in the pits and say hello to Jerry. He comes to all of the FFW Atlanta events and his rig is (naturally) all black. He will be binging his big black 10-second Torino and his new (?) 1949 (351 Cleveland powered) Ford, which runs in the mid 8's. Other racers who have told me they will be there include Bill Glidden and several IHRA 814" Pro Stock cars (Cougars included) running against the small block turbo and supercharged Mustangs.
