I just recently received a new alternator from DB Electrical and couldn't help but notice the "made in china" sticker. Has anybody tried one recently? Any issues?

No it's the 130amp one. What really scares me is I took it to the Ford dealership to have to oneway pulley taken off(eaton swap) and they said there tool didn't fit?

Nowadays everything seems to be made from China! Hell, American flags are made in china too.

I stopped worrying about "Made in China" quality a while ago. We've trained them well.:shake:

While I'm not an apologist for the Chinese, nor am I in favour of off-shoring all our manufacturing, everyone used to make the same derogatory remarks about the Japanese 50 years ago...now most of their stuff is very high quality. I think if a company values its reputation it's going to be sure the parts are made right, regardless of where they're made.
Obviously there is a lot of junk that comes out of China right now, but that's what we get for buying all our consumer goods at places like Walmart and Lowes, where nothing matters but price.

"Made in China" isn't what it used to be. Quality control and material selesction has gotten a lot better over the years. There are some Chinese-made products I will stay way from though: high-precision components and bearings (and toys and toothpaste while we're on the subject). I went to China last year to check out a precision bearing supplier. We walked down to the factory floor and it was made of sand! I thanked the manager for the tour and promply left, never to return again.

Made in China is ONLY EXACTLY as how you specify. Chinese take 10 minutes to order dinner as every detail is up for argument.

i got 2 from db electrical and they both failed after 3 weeks. I have a trillogy on top of a alluminator and a jbl 250 watt mono sub and a rockfor fosgate 1600 watt 4 channel. the pulley came right off no problem but i am running a factory ford alternator no problem after 6 months. :< a sucky experience.

Bought a rachet extension "made in china".
Male end was a slightly different size than the female end.

Almost everything that DB Electricals sells is made in China and has been for several years. That said, I have 5 alternators and 3 starters from them (all on different vehicles) and have had almost no issues. I had the 200 amp alt from them on my MM (I got it when it was the ONLY option they had for MM). It uses a slightly smaller pulley to make it output more at low RPM. My belt tensioner was slightly worn, and let the belt slip at high RPM shift points (no one way clutch on the 200amp model). I thought I had a bearing going bad in the alt and got a 130 amp version from them. It is still running with no issues. I happened to be going by their shop last year and had the 200 tested. It was good, just the belt slipping because of the worn tensioner. The 130 didn't have this issue because of the standard size pulley and lower weight of alt internals. I changed the tensioner and belt and the 200 is fine.
They also have some oddball stuff that is hard to find, like the alternator I have on my 95 F150 5.8. I changed my alt bracket out for a 88-93 style bracket to eliminate the air pump. This changed the alt style to the old style 2 bolt. DB has an alt that uses this mounting with the newer style alternator with new style connections.
I have had no bad experience with DB and have been using their stuff for 5+ years now.

I was all ready to give it a try but I couldn't get the one-way pulley off. The dealership I used to remove the pulley during my Eaton Swap said their tool didn't fit? I knew if I tried hard enough I probably could get it off but I didn't feel like beating the crap out of a nice new alternator. So I returned the one I got from DP Electrical. I will say that their customer service was excellent.
I called my local Ford Dealership and they said there were no more alternators for the Marauder in the warehouse? He showed a couple at different dealership around the country but with shipping I was looking at close to $300.
After a little searching on SVTPerformance and Ford-Trucks.com I found another company that people seem to be having good luck with.
Eagle Auto Electric on Ebay. http://stores.ebay.com/Eagle-Auto-Electric
I sent an email via Ebay on a Saturday and had an answer within an hour. Crazy. Gave me his phone number and encouraged me to call with any questions.
Ended up shipping me 200amp alternator without a pulley for $140 plus shipping. Placed the order on Monday and it arrived today(Thursday).
I'll install it tomorrow.
