Just wondering what everyone's plans are in regards to getting to Louisville (if you're going)....
I will be leaving Asheville approx 4pm Thursday...taking 1-40 west to I-75 north to I-64 west. Expect to arrive between 9 and 10.
Check out gasbuddy.com to find out where the cheapest 93 octane is enroute!
Would like to caravan back on Sunday, if possible.

Well, since I have a DTR. I will be walking to Louisville as the Two Shoe Express would be faster.

Weds, 10 AM departure. Slow and steady, and enjoy the cruise down. Not kidding, I could really use a road trip to ease stress.
So cruise on, tunes loaded, and a very pretty girl by my side for good one on one conversation kid free.

Leaving mid-morning Thursday, will meet up in Western NC or Eastern TN with Russ, Tom (maybe?), and any other of the Carolina bunch awake at that time, then head to Louisville. ETA around 5:00-ish.
Will be hanging out in the parking lot or in the lobby (depending on the weather) when you arrive. The whole gang may be rather incoherent by then, but if you put your mind to it, you can prolly get close to caught up with us by midnight or so... ;)
The drive is one of my favorite things about Louisville!
Those west Virginia mountains are beautiful!
I'll be cruising the the cruise control set at 80mph and just enjoying the scenery and the hum of the motor.

Well I have to be in Chattanooga Monday and Tuesday of theat week. I'll wake up Wednesday morning, have a light breakfast, quick workout and hit the road for a leisurely cruise. Plan to arrive in Ltown about 2pm on Wednesday.

Leaving New Orleans on the 11th. driving about 3/4 of the way and stopping for some rest. On the 12th I will drive the rest of the way. Need the rest so I can hang late with the collective.
Pat you going? We could try to meet somewhere on the way. Anyone else from LA going?
Leaving Wednesday preferably before 10 a.m., 64W the whole way. Mapquest says 10 hours. So probably arrive 8 p.m. Unload the luggage, smack Joe across the face, then hit the nearest Waffle Pole for pre-drinking time din-din. If anyone running 64W wants to trade phone numbers shoot me a PM.

It would be great if you guys met in Asheville...I know the perfect place to meet and have a good, quick lunch: Luella's BBQ. Great BBQ/brisket, a dozen flavors of BBQ sauce, and pretty waitresses to look at. I'm sure we'd have people talking if all of a sudden there were several MMs parked there.
My Chem lab doesn't start until 1:45...wish I could ditch it altogether, but it's the first of two lab sessions for our final experiment and it wouldn't be fair to the others in my group to not show up at all...hoping I can sneak out before 4, though.
Louisville is approx 5 hours (350 miles) from here, so if we meet and eat between 11 and noon, you'll get to Lville by 6. It would be great if we could pull this off! (TWSS)
Do the class, seriously. We will see you when you get there.

I know I proposed the idea of meeting up for lunch that day, but I've rescheduled an exam I was supposed to take on Friday (13th) to Thursday (12th) at noon. (I just remembered doing this...getting older sucks)
Still would like to meet those of you caravaning through Asheville that morning for a pit stop...any time between sun-up and 11. Lemme know if you'd be interested and I'll think of a place we could meet.

Just :bump:ing this to see if yous guys are gonna make a pit stop in A-ville on your way to L-ville Thursday morning. Lemme know approximate arrival time and I'll think of a place. There's a Cracker Barrel on I-40 on west side of town...right after the I-26/I-40 interchange...easy on/off; less than 1/2 mile from interstate.
Don't plan to make it a fuel stop, unless you think $4.25/gal is cheap. Looks like you can get it for around $4/gal just across the state line heading into TN.
