Wow man. Those look great. I like that 22 you bought. I am looking for a 22 to shoot for cheap fun. I'll have to look in to that one.

Since we are on the topic. Here's my latest purchase.

I had the shorter version P-22 for a while. Watch out for the threaded barrel. Mine was not tight enough from the factory and started to un-thread itself. I caught it in time to prevent any damage to it or me, but you might want to make sure yours is good and snug from time to time.

I also have the Walther P22. Excellent firearm. You can empty a magazine extremely rapidly and with good precision. Seems like a more powerful weapon than it is. Cheap ammo. All day fun!

Love my parkerized Springfield Loaded. I prefer to change out the full length guide rod for the standard GI guide rod, and mine has flat panel Hogue rubber grips. FYI, Chip Mccormick shooting star 8-rnd mags or Wilson combat 8-rnd mags will both work great. I have 3 or 4 of each that I use when I shoot IDPA with it.http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/Love%20my%20parkerized%20Sprin gfield%20Loaded.%20I%20prefer% 20to%20change%20out%20the%20fu ll%20length%20guide%20rod%20fo r%20the%20standard%20GI%20guid e%20rod,%20and%20mine%20has%20 flat%20panel%20Hogue%20rubber% 20grips.%20FYI,%20Chip%20Mccor mick%20shooting%20star%208-rnd%20mags%20or%20Wilson%20com bat%208-rnd%20mags%20will%20both%20wor k%20great.%20I%20have%203%20or %204%20of%20each%20that%20I%20 use%20when%20I%20shoot%20IDPA% 20with%20it.

I have not yet been there. I was going to go there a few weeks ago, but I went to JR's instead.

Let's get a meet at GATs, maybe in a few weeks or so?

Sounds good Joe. I'll bring my .357 for you to try. "It's a sweetie"!

"It's big. It's bulky. It's heavy, impractical, and loud. It looks really, really cool. Sometimes, it has a nickel finish, or better yet, gold. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BlingBlingBang) It may even have a name. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ICallItVera) It's the Hand Cannon (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HandCannon)."

Alrighty then. Let's start a new thread and gather up the troops for a meet of eats and guns.
I don't care where at. As long as its after Louisville. And we need to know if we can bring rifles. I'm sure a friend of mine from work would love to go too. He's got some nice weapons.

Perhaps a nice outdoor range?

There was ONE (1) at the gun show. It would be neat to own just to say you have one but no telling what the ammo costs.

Guys,

Here is another local range. Shot there in Feb and you can reserve range time. You can shoot rifles of all calibers there. Took my AR, Model 29 .44 cal as well as .22 cal and .45cal.

Here is the link.
http://www.gunworldrange.com/
They are still working on thier website, but there is enough information to make arrangements.

For outdoor shooting Aurora sportsmans club has range days for the public, you just have to check to see what days they are open fot that.
